(Baonghean) - Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center has just successfully organized a livestream program to introduce and promote the consumption of Vinh oranges. This is a new way to follow the trend to bring the Vinh orange brand closer to consumers far away.

Positive impact

Last November 28,Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion CenterCoordinated with Yen Thanh District People's Committee to successfully organize a livestream program connecting the consumption of Vinh oranges and Nghe An specialties right at the orange garden in Dong Thanh commune (Yen Thanh).

This is the first time that people all over Vietnam and abroad can learn about Vinh oranges online without having to be present in the garden. Through online promotion and sales channels on these multimedia channels, consumers can better understand the image, quality, and value of the Vinh orange brand in particular and Nghe An specialties in general.

Immediately after the successful livestream program promoting Vinh oranges, orange growers in Dong Thanh commune were very excited about this new way of connecting. Mr. Pham Cong Hai - manager of Thien Son orange farm in Dong Trung hamlet (Dong Thanh) said: After the livestream program took place, many new customers from all over the country called to discuss connection and consumption, some people asked for the direct address to visit and learn more. According to Mr. Hai, on average, the farm sells 4-5 tons of oranges per day, after the program took place, the number of oranges sold increased.

Mr. Truong Van Bien - owner of an orange farm also in Dong Thanh commune, added that the livestream program promoting Vinh oranges has brought many lessons and experiences to gardeners, especially in using information technology to promote their products. "Certainly in the near future, in addition to focusing on improving the quality of Vinh oranges, we will also arrange and set up livestream space to broadcast more actively. Because many people must know about Vinh oranges for sales to be effective" - ​​Mr. Bien emphasized.

Mr. Ngo Van Tuan - Chairman of Dong Thanh Commune People's Committee was very excited when the livestream program promoted and introducedOrange Vinhhas been organized. Mr. Tuan said that currently, the whole commune has about 70 households participating in growing oranges on a scale of 1-2 hectares to 17 hectares. Up to now, the orange area of ​​the whole commune has reached 130 hectares, and the planned orange area is expected to be expanded to 300 hectares. In addition to building an orange brand according to VietGAP and Global GAP standards, the commune has also coordinated with departments and branches to develop a clean orange production process. And with this new way of promotion, Mr. Tuan hopes that the Vinh orange brand will become more and more known in the domestic and foreign markets.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Vice Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee said: Orange is a new crop in the area.Yen Thanh district, so people are still confused about production and consumption. Therefore, the district has also proposed many policies to support farmers growing oranges.

In addition to supporting quality seedlings, we also organize science and technology transfer and training for farmers right in the garden, helping people know how to take care of orange trees to prevent and control pests and diseases, thereby producing oranges of the highest quality and beautiful appearance.

In addition, the district has also supported people to promote trade and advertise oranges through the district's electronic information pages, associated with building OCOP products. Organize propaganda and promote the image of Vinh oranges regularly on Facebook, Zalo pages as well as fairs and exhibitions organized by the Provincial People's Committee and other provinces. Help domestic and foreign customers know more about the Vinh orange and Dong Thanh orange brands.

With a duration of 1 hour livestream promoting Vinh oranges on the fanpages of Nghe An Radio and Television Station, it attracted more than 42,000 views and shares. Not to mention the tens of thousands of followers and interactions through the rebroadcast channels of Vietnam Television Station VTV; Vietnam Digital Television Station VTC...

Marketing Vinh orange

It can be seen that, from the livestream program introducing, promoting and consuming Vinh oranges, the interaction between consumers and production, supply and product consumption support units has been improved.

In addition, the awareness and thinking of manufacturers and suppliers from small and spontaneous scale have gradually changed to the mindset of doing business on digital platforms, in order to diversify sales methods to suit the epidemic situation and the context of Vietnam moving towards a digital economy. From there, it contributes to gradually bringing Nghe An's agriculture towards digital agriculture, creating a large market, opening up new opportunities for producers and businesses. Online sales or live streaming sales have been implemented by many people and brought high efficiency, becoming a lesson for brand building as well as sales marketing.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - Deputy Director of Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center: Carrying out the tasks of the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency, and at the same time implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee as well as the Provincial People's Committee, the Center has also coordinated with provincial departments and branches to implement many programs to promote the consumption of Vinh oranges as well as Nghe An agricultural products to the domestic market and towards export. In the past time, the Center has also organized to bring Vinh oranges to many large supermarket systems nationwide.

It is expected that in December 2021, Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center will continue to livestream the consumption of Vinh oranges and Nghe An specialties in the livestream room built at Muong Thanh Song Lam Hotel. In this program, in addition to Vinh oranges, there will be 10 other Nghe An specialties broadcast live to promote to domestic and foreign consumers.

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the development of digital platforms, the promotion of Vinh oranges on e-commerce platforms has been further promoted. In particular, recently, the Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center has also worked with the Department of Domestic Market, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to sign contracts with e-commerce platforms such as Voso, Sendo or Tiki to further spread Vinh oranges.

According to Mr. Nam, through the live livestream program, the Center hopes to guide farms, gardeners and agricultural production facilities to proactively research market demand, choose the right target products, gradually modernize production, apply technology to strictly manage safe production processes, and check product quality before selling to the market. Ensure that agricultural products are consumed in the value chain, meeting domestic standards and those of importing countries. Special attention is paid to and guidance on product production according to Global GAP, Organic, GMP standards...
