Launching the People's Police Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 4, the People's Public Security Newspaper and the People's Public Security Communications Department held the launching ceremony of the People's Public Security Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region located in Vinh city, Nghe An province.

Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Nguyen The Ky - former member of the Party Central Committee, former General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Chairman of the Central Council for Literature and Art Criticism; Ho Quang Loi - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha - Director of the People's Public Security (CAND) Communications Department; Colonel Pham Khai - Deputy Director of the CAND Communications Department, Editor-in-ChiefCAND Newspaper; Deputy Editors-in-Chief and leaders of departments and offices of CAND Newspaper. Representatives of provincial leaders, departments, branches, sectors and agencies, units of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa provinces. Representatives of CAND Magazine, CAND Publishing House, Government Electronic Newspaper.

Speaking at the assignment of tasks to the CAND Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region, Colonel Pham Khai said that CAND Newspaper (under the CAND Communications Department) is identified as the mouthpiece of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, one of the six key multimedia media agencies of the country according to Decision No. 362/QD-TTg dated April 3, 2019 approving the National Press Development and Management Plan until 2025 of the Prime Minister. Currently, CAND Newspaper has 6 affiliated Departments, organizing the publication of CAND Electronic Newspaper and publications: CAND Newspaper published daily, World Security Weekly (2 issues/1 week), World Security Mid-Month - End-Month Special (2 issues/1 month), Public Security Literature and Arts Special (1 issue/1 week).

In addition, from March 1, 2021, implementing Decision No. 362/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and Notice No. 18TB/DUCA dated February 25, 2021 of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on the plan to implement the planning of the CAND printed newspaper, the local Public Security Newspapers: Capital Security, Hai Phong Security, Da Nang City Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police have become the topics of the CAND Newspaper and are currently in the process of performing the tasks of the affiliated units.

In the organizational structure of CAND Newspaper, in addition to 6 affiliated Departments, there are also representative offices under the departments, located in some important locations such as CAND Newspaper Representative Office in the Central - Central Highlands region located in Da Nang City, CAND Newspaper Representative Office in the Mekong Delta located in Can Tho City, CAND Newspaper Office in Hai Phong and CAND Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region located in Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

This is the first time CAND Newspaper has opened a representative office in Nghe An, with a team of officers, reporters and staff who were comrades who previously worked at Nghe An Police Newspaper. Comrade Pham Khai emphasized and requested that officers and reporters of the CAND Newspaper Office in the North Central region coordinate with the Newspaper's direct management unit, the News - Politics Department, to have a specific, appropriate and worthy propaganda plan, worthy of the assigned role, position and tasks.

Congratulating the CAND Newspaper Office in the North Central region, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Ho Quang Loi said that the press is undergoing an unprecedented profound transformation in terms of working methods and ways; however, professional ideals and ethics must always be maintained and promoted.
