Cambodia will hold a meeting to decide on a candidate for Prime Minister.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced that the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) will convene on December 24 to decide on the candidates for the position of Prime Minister.

According to the Khmer Times, while inspecting the construction of the new Phnom Penh International Airport, Prime Minister Hun Sen said: “On December 24th, the CPP Central Executive Committee members will meet to decide on the list of candidates for the position of Prime Minister and there are a number of tasks that the Executive Committee needs to carry out.”
Previously,Prime Minister Hun SenIt was stated that all candidates for the position of Prime Minister must be members of Parliament.
Currently, Hun Manet, the eldest son of Prime Minister Hun Sen, is one of the candidates for the prime ministership. Yesterday, Interior Minister Sar Kheng voiced his support for General Hun Manet to succeed his father as leader of the country.

Prime Minister Hun Sen once said: “I declare my support for my son to become Prime Minister of Cambodia, but that must happen through elections. I support the idea of establishing a political dynasty. Even Japan has its own political dynasty, like former Prime Minister Abe. Abe's grandfather was a Prime Minister and visited Cambodia. Abe's father was a foreign minister and Abe himself was a Prime Minister.”
According to Fresh News, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that all members of Cambodia's new cabinet will be under 60 years old. Nearly 50% of them must have a PhD and the rest must have a master's degree.
