(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 11, the Ministry of Information and Communications organized the 3rd National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises with the theme "Digital Transformation - Driving Force for Economic Recovery and Development".

Presiding at the Hanoi bridge point were comrades Nguyen Manh Hung - Minister ofInformation and Communication; Le Quang Huy - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, along with representatives of ministries, departments, branches and enterprises. At the Nghe An bridge, there were leaders of the Department of Information and Communications and related departments and branches.

The forum program includes two main discussion sessions. On the morning of December 11, delegates focused on the topic "Digital technology enterprises help industries and fields recover and develop the economy sustainably during and after the Covid-19 pandemic".

Opening the forum, Mr. Vo Quang Lam - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group presented a speech on "Digital technology in energy management and development". Accordingly, as of November 30, Vietnam's power system had the highest total capacity in ASEAN, surpassing Indonesia with 76,000 MW. The 500 kV and 220 KV transmission line system also ranked first in ASEAN.

Achieving results depends largely on the application of digital technology. EVN representative said that to date, 29.5 million electricity purchase and sale contracts have been digitized. With 19 million electronic meters, Vietnam has achieved a high rate of electronic meters in the ASEAN region. Since 2012, EVN has provided electronic invoices, and has now applied them throughout the system. EVN also promotes connections with banks and payment units to serve e-wallet and cashless payments...

ForTourism industry, Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc - Deputy General Director of the General Department of Tourism said that tourism is a key economic sector, developing in parallel with the 4.0 industrial revolution with technologies such as Blockchain and artificial intelligence. However, in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, tourism has been severely affected because it involves travel and faces barriers when applying social distancing policies.

Therefore, the application of technology and digital transformation in tourism in Vietnam is necessary. Mr. Hoang Minh Quan - CEO of Cloudify Vietnam said that Vietnam's digital economy has a remarkable growth rate, strongly affecting many fields thanks to the investment and incentive programs of the State. This growth will take place evenly in all industries such as e-commerce, smart logistics, tourism... In particular, from 2020-2021, e-commerce has grown by 30%.

Mr. Hoang Minh Quan believes that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will play a very important role in the development of the digital economy. Currently, these businesses are aware of the importance of digital transformation but face difficulties in terms of costs, lack of infrastructure and IT human resources...

At the seminar, speakers discussed breakthrough digital transformation solutions to help industries and sectors recover and develop sustainably after the pandemic, and answered questions from organizations and businesses about digital transformation in the coming time.

On the afternoon of December 11, representatives of ministries, branches and enterprises will continue to present papers and discussions on the topic: Digital technology enterprises solve the problem of national digital transformation with the participation of many large corporations and enterprises such as Viettel, FPT, VNPT... Along with that is the announcement and award ceremony of the Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product Award 2021.

Currently, Vietnam has nearly 60,000 digital enterprises. Over the past two years, Vietnamese enterprises have mastered many digital transformation platforms. In 2020, more than 30 platforms announced by the Ministry of Information and Communications were all Vietnamese platforms. In 2021, many Vietnamese enterprises have also switched to researching and mastering new technologies such as 5G, AI, Big data, etc.
