On his revolutionary journey across five continents and four seas to “find a way for the whole nation”, he always yearned for his country, for his hometown of Nghe An. He remembered many melodies of the folk songs, the folk songs, and the fabric guild songs of his hometown, and he longed for “the gentle lullaby of a mother to her child”..Away from home for more than half a century, he still retains his heavy, warm, sincere, resonant Nghe accent.
Returning to the country in the spring of 1941 and directly leading the successful August Revolution, regaining independence and freedom for the people and the country after many long nights of slavery, he still could not visit his hometown. It was not until June 1957, more than 2 years after the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu "making history", that President Ho Chi Minh returned to visit his homeland.

Then, 4 years later, in December 1961, the people of his hometown were able to welcome Uncle Ho back to visit. In just 3 short but extremely precious days, he spent all his time visiting and talking with cadres and people of his hometown in Vinh City; visiting Vinh Mechanical Factory; Nghe An Mountainous Pedagogical School; Dong Hieu Farm; Vinh Thanh Cooperative...
Revisiting Hoang Tru village, the simple and close Uncle sat and talked in front of the house with the people of his mother's hometown. In the crowd of people happily welcoming Uncle Ho, he still recognized and did not forget to recall memories with his childhood friends. In every place he visited, he gave the cadres, people and villagers all his warm affection and specific, practical advice. No one could have imagined that it would be the last time he returned to his homeland, the last time his homeland welcomed him.

During the years of working away from the Fatherland, he always followed and grasped the specific situation in the country and Nghe-Tinh. He guided and directly taught the "Revolutionary Path" class.for many young people from the homeland who went abroad at that time, later became excellent students, loyal communist soldiers, typical of our Party such as Le Hong Son, Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai... He was proud of a "Red Nghe Tinh" that took the lead, steadfast, indomitable in the face of enemy oppression.
His sacred and profound affection, his devoted and thoughtful care for his homeland are invaluable assets, a great source of encouragement and motivation for cadres, soldiers and people of Nghe An on every revolutionary path.

In particular, over the past two years, facing the influence and impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Party Committee and people of Nghe An have promoted the spirit of solidarity, mobilized the strength of the entire political system, effectively controlled the epidemic, and made efforts to maintain and restore socio-economic development. The people's trust in the Party and the State has been increasingly enhanced, creating a solid foundation for the province to continue to develop rapidly and comprehensively in the new period.
In addition to the achievements, Nghe An is still not a good province in the country. The Party Committees, authorities, organizations and people of the province have seriously reviewed and sincerely apologized to Uncle Ho for not yet fulfilling what he had always wanted.
The 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's second visit to his homeland is an opportunity for us to review and understand more deeply his feelings for his homeland, his instructions and wishes for the development of his homeland. The Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in Nghe An promise to Uncle Ho to continue to make efforts, further promote the historical traditions, culture and people of Nghe An, arouse the will of self-reliance and aspiration to rise up; actively, proactively innovate and create to bring the province to sustainable development. Strive to achieve the goal that by 2025, Nghe An will become a well-off province in the Northern region; by 2030, it will become a well-off province in the whole country.
We must be determined to fulfill Uncle Ho's lifetime wishes.

Our Party, State and People will forever remember the great contributions and spiritual support of Uncle Ho's family and relatives on both his paternal and maternal sides who gave birth to, raised and educated the great son of the Vietnamese nation - beloved President Ho Chi Minh. In particular, Uncle Ho's entire family devoted their entire lives to contributing and sacrificing for the People and the country, without leaving any privacy for themselves.
At the ceremony, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Nghe An province to clearly see their noble responsibility to fulfill what he had wished for his homeland during his lifetime. With the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening and the desire to rise up, Nghe An needs to make more efforts and determination to create a "Lam River miracle" that the whole country is waiting for.
Nghe An was issued Resolution 26 by the Politburo to develop into a socio-economic center of the North Central region. At the 2nd session, the 15th National Assembly issued Resolution 36 on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province. This demonstrates the special attention, responsibility and affection of the Party, State and people across the country for the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh. Therefore, it is recommended that Nghe An province continue to be proactive and coordinate with the Central Ministries, Committees and branches to bring the above Resolution into life, for the development of Nghe An, the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho.
The President said that along with comprehensive development in all fields, deeply imbued with the Party's viewpoint: Culture lights the way for the nation, Nghe An needs to pay attention to promoting the traditions and strengths of the culture and people of Nghe An.
In particular, we pay attention to protecting, honoring and promoting Ho Chi Minh's cultural values, including the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site and the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House. These are red addresses, aiming to preserve and promote Ho Chi Minh's heritage in his homeland, to educate revolutionary traditions, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style to cadres, party members and people across the country, especially the current and future generations.

The project started construction in October 2020, right on the old land; the materials, structures, patterns, and motifs of the Memorial House are modeled after traditional Vietnamese architecture, both solemn and cozy, yet rustic and close. The project is an expression of the infinite respect and gratitude of the people of Nghe An and compatriots and soldiers across the country towards beloved Uncle Ho. The project creates harmony and uniformity in architecture and landscape in the overall Kim Lien National Special Historical Site.
On the journey back to the source, every Vietnamese person who comes here to offer incense to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, surely feels closer to him; self-reflects, to see "our hearts are clearer".
