Previously, at 8:00 p.m. on December 18, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Command Center - Nghe An Provincial Police received a report of a suspected missing victim in the area.Ben Thuy Bridge 1, Ben Thuy ward, Vinh city.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police, directed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team on the river to mobilize 1 rescue vehicle, 1 rubber boat and specialized equipment to quickly arrive at the scene to search for the victim.

The victim was identified as LTN (born 2003), residing in Tan Son commune, Quynh Luu district. At around 11:30 p.m. the same day, the rescue team recovered the victim's body and handed it over to the local authorities.
