(Baonghean.vn) - On December 25, in Noong Het district, Xieng Khouang province, Lao PDR, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Lao Ministry of Public Security to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of the first working headquarters to the Noong Het Tay border village police.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Nguyen Van Vien - Director of Department C04; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.Nghe An Police.

Implementing the additional cooperation plan between the Ministry of Public Security of the two countriesLaos - Vietnam, including the policy of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security helping the Lao Ministry of Public Security build 287 working offices of the Public Security of border villages. In Nghe An, 07 Public Security offices have been built in Xieng Khouang district, Laos. After nearly 01 month of construction, the Noong Het Tay village Public Security office has been completed. This office was designed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in sync with the working offices of the Public Security of 6 villages in Xieng Khouang district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that since the groundbreaking ceremony of the first village police headquarters, the construction of police headquarters in the remaining villages along the border between the two countries has been closely coordinated, overcoming many difficulties and challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to complete. In particular, Nghe An Provincial Police and Xieng Khouang Provincial Police are among the leading units in this work.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc thanked the authorities of Nghe An and Xieng Khouang provinces for creating favorable conditions and supporting them in many aspects to ensure the construction was smooth and on schedule; he believed that the police forces of the two provinces would continue to coordinate better in ensuring security and order in the border area, effectively combating all types of crimes, especially transnational drug trafficking and transportation crimes that take advantage of Laos and Vietnam to operate, contributing to maintaining peace for the people of the two countries, consolidating and further cultivating the special solidarity and traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

Lieutenant General Thoong-Lec Mang-No-Mec expressed his sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security for always supporting the Lao Ministry of Public Security in many aspects, including the simultaneous construction of police headquarters in villages in Xieng Khouang province. This project affirms the good relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general and the two countries' Public Security Ministries in particular.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam presented 17 sets of computers to the Xieng Khouang Provincial Police. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited, encouraged and presented 200 gifts worth 160 million VND to the people of Nam Can Commune and to the Nam Can Commune Police, Ky Son District.
