According to the initial investigation, from 2017 to 2020, Phong illegally sold more than 1,000 VAT invoices with the content: "Gas store No. 14 of Thua Thien-Hue Petroleum Company" to Le Tin (born in 1963, residing in Thuy Phu commune, Huong Thuy town), an accountant of Quang Duc Private Enterprise, but without actual goods or services attached to gain illegal profits.

Regarding this case, the Criminal Police Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province Police also issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain two subjects: Nguyen Quang Ben (born in 1975), Director of Quang Duc Private Enterprise, and Le Tin (born in 1963), accountant.

As CAND Online reported, on December 15, the Criminal Police Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province Police broke up a case of illegal trading of VAT invoices, executing an emergency search warrant at the residence and workplace of Nguyen Quang Ben and Le Tin in Thuy Phu commune, Huong Thuy town.

The police agency determined that from 2017 to 2020, Quang Duc Private Enterprise illegally bought and sold 3,856 VAT invoices with a total value of nearly 35 billion VND. Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
