(Baonghean.vn) - In difficult conditions, especially the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the growth rate of total agricultural, forestry and fishery products in 2021 of Nghe An's Agriculture and Rural Development sector still reached 5.59% - the highest in the North Central region.
All targets were completed beyond plan.
On the afternoon of December 27, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to summarize 2021 and deploy the plan for 2022.

The internal economic structure continues to shift in the right direction, contributing significantly to promoting growth and successfully implementing the province's planning tasks, ensuring social security and improving the lives of rural residents.

Accordingly, the growth rate of total agricultural, forestry and fishery products of the sector increased quite well, reaching 5.59%/plan 4.5-5.0%, (the whole country increased by 2.94%) - the highest in the North Central region. Notably, there were 20 morecommune meets new rural standards, bringing the total number of communes achieving NTM in the whole province to 300 communes, reaching 72.99%, exceeding the program's target, 7 district-level units completed their tasks and achieved NTM standards.
In 2022, the agricultural sector strives to achieve an increase in agricultural, forestry and fishery production value of 4.5 - 5.0%. The total output of grain crops will reach over 1 million 240 thousand tons.

On this occasion, authorized by the President, the Organizing Committee awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 collective. In addition, 1 individual was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister; 5 collectives and 4 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in agriculture and rural development.
The Provincial People's Committee also presented the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management with a banner; awarded Certificates of Merit to the Department and 3 individuals for their outstanding achievements on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the unit's establishment.
