Implement good disease prevention, control and medical examination and treatment

In 2021, in the context of the complicated outbreak of Covid-19, Nghe An Health Department has presided over and advised the province and all levels and sectors to synchronously implement timely and effective epidemic prevention and control solutions.

Of the more than 8,300 Covid-19 patients recorded so far, hospitals and medical facilities assigned to the task have admitted and cured nearly 7,000 people... The health sector has mobilized human resources to coordinate with all levels to speed up the progress of Covid-19 vaccination for people. As of December 31, 2021, the vaccination rate for people over 18 years old with the first dose reached 99.8%; the second dose reached 99%; vaccination for children aged 12-17 years old reached 98.2% with the first dose and 41.5% with the second dose.

In addition, the whole industry carried out 7 support trips with 304 medical officers and staff to support epidemic prevention and control in provinces such as Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai...

In parallel with the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, medical examination and treatment facilities in the province have maintained good examination and treatment for people. In 2021, medical examination and treatment facilities examined nearly 5.2 million people, treated nearly 614,000 inpatients, and performed nearly 158,000 surgeries of all kinds.

At the conference, delegates also focused on analyzing existing problems and discussing solutions to overcome limitations, such as limited investment in resources for the health sector; unsynchronized hospital autonomy mechanisms and policies; inadequate policies and regimes for the anti-epidemic team... Thereby, the conference set out goals and directions to continue implementing the task of disease prevention and control, and providing better and better health care for the people.

In addition, the industry also needs to strongly deploy the application of information technology and administrative reform in all medical units, aiming to perfect smart healthcare; pay attention to hospital quality management, improve the environment in medical facilities; strictly implement the Satellite Hospital Project; pay attention to hospital administration and medical economics; strengthen the training of highly specialized human resources, especially specialized specialists in units in the industry.
