Mr. Hoang Quan, a garden owner in Vinh City, shared: "After the New Year's holiday, we hired people and vehicles to transport pomelos from the North to Vinh City for Tet sales. We expect to have 4-5 trucks continuously delivering goods in the coming days. Everyone is working hard, hoping for good business this Tet to compensate for a year of hardship due to the pandemic...". Photo: QA

Due to the long journey, all the pomelos had to be taped to prevent them from falling off during transport. It is known that the number of pomelos used for Tet decorations this year is not as large as in previous years due to the impact of the pandemic. Photo: QA

According to orchard owners, this year's pomelo trees are available at three price levels for customers to choose from: small, short trees cost from 2 to 3 million VND, medium-sized trees cost from 5 to 7 million VND, and large trees cost from 25 to 30 million VND. Photo: QA

Peach blossoms for Tet (Lunar New Year) have begun to be transported and displayed for sale in Vinh City, however, the quantity was still limited as of the morning of January 5th. The peach blossoms are mainly imported from northern provinces, with the Nhat Tan peach blossom village in Hanoi accounting for a large quantity. Photo: QA

Mr. Tran Van Nhan, owner of a business selling peach blossoms for Tet (Lunar New Year), said: "This year, due to the complicated pandemic situation, the number of peach blossoms imported to our store is much less than in previous years. The rented space is also smaller, so we're selling cautiously and monitoring the market; we don't dare risk making large investments..." Photo: QA

According to orchard owners, the number of large, expensive peach trees, worth tens of millions of dong, will be much smaller this year compared to previous years because this item is expected to be difficult to sell, as people's incomes have been affected by the pandemic. Photo: QA

However, surveys indicate that this year's peach blossom trees for Tet (Lunar New Year) have more buds and new shoots, and prices will be more affordable compared to previous years. Currently, orchard owners are actively tending to their trees to ensure they bloom in time for Tet. Photo: QA
