(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 10, Keng Du Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Keng Du commune, Ky Son district to cut the ribbon and put into use the charity house "Whoever needs it, come and take it - Whoever has it, share it".

The charity house was started in September 2021 and is built into 2 rooms, with a solid foundation, brick walls, and a corrugated iron roof, ensuring sturdiness and long-term use. Of which, 1 room is for displaying clothes; 1 room is for displaying other essential items.

The house has a usable area of ​​about 50m22with a total value of about 250 million VND. It is known that to save costs, Keng Du Border Guard Station has set up a team of workers to build the house until completion.

The house was completed and put into use with the support of many organizations and individuals with goodwill. In particular, Keng Du commune lent land and contributed 10 million VND in cash, Nghe An Association in Hanoi donated 100 million VND; Veterans Newspaper donated 2 sets of computers and various books and newspapers; officers and soldiers of the unit donated nearly 1,500 new and used clothes...

Immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the charity house was opened for local people to visit and choose essential items by themselves. From now on, local people have another charity address with the spirit of "Whoever needs, come and take - Whoever has, share" with profound humanitarian meaning for poor people in the border area./.
