The guy trafficked drugs and hid them in his girlfriend's apartment.
(Baonghean.vn) - After buying drugs, Luan hid them in his girlfriend's apartment. When he discovered the police were coming, he immediately threw the drugs onto the roof of another house but could not escape punishment.
On January 21, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened a first-instance criminal trial of defendant Truong Thanh Luan (born in 1986), residing in Le Loi ward, Vinh city (Nghe An) for the crime of illegal drug trafficking; defendant Nguyen Anh Phuc (born in 1990), residing in Dong Vinh ward, Vinh city, for the crime ofHiddenillegal drug storage.
According to the case file, on July 27, 2021, Luan rode a motorbike to Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district to buy about 100 grams of various drugs from a man (unknown background and address) for more than 21 million VND.

Luan brought the "goods" he bought back to the mini apartment his girlfriend rented to hide. Being an addict, Luan took out the drugs to use many times.
Late at night on August 5, 2021, Luan sold 300,000 VND worth of drugs to Nguyen Anh Phuc. To avoid detection by authorities, Luan wrapped the drugs in toilet paper and left them at the foot of the apartment building's elevator.
After receiving the “goods”, Phuc transferred the money to Luan’s bank account. However, on the way home, Phuc was arrested by the police with the evidence.
Immediately afterwards, the investigation agency urgently searched Luan's residence. When he saw the authorities coming, Luan immediately closed the door to dispose of the drugs by throwing them onto the corrugated iron roof of the neighboring house. However, all of Luan's actions were exposed by the authorities.
At the trial, the two defendants admitted to their crimes. The defendant said he bought drugs to sell and use. Phuc said he bought them to use because he was addicted. The two defendants confessed honestly and asked the court to reduce their sentences.
The panel of judges determined that the actions of the two defendants violated the law. Notably, on July 29, 2021, defendant Truong Thanh Luan was sentenced to 8 months in prison for the crime of Illegal possession of military weapons. The defendant has not yet served that sentence but continues to commit other crimes.
Considering the case as a whole, the court sentenced Truong Thanh Luan to 18 years in prison for Illegal drug trafficking. Combined with the previous sentence, the defendant was ordered to serve a total sentence of 18 years and 8 months in prison. The defendant Nguyen Anh Phuc was sentenced to 10 months in prison for Illegal drug possession.
