Attending the opening ceremony of the Spring Press Festival were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the "Golden Hammer and Sickle - Nghe An 2021" press award; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Van Dung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, Le Truong Giang - Secretary of the Hoang Mai Town Party Committee. Also attending were leaders of provincial departments and branches, leaders of Hoang Mai town, local and central journalists stationed in Nghe An province.

In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of Nghe An Journalists Association, Director of Nghe An Radio and Television Station said that the Spring Press Festival is a spiritual and cultural activity that has become an annual traditional beauty of the press in the country in general and Nghe An in particular, an opportunity to praise the achievements of innovation of Nghe An press and the press nationwide, a place for journalists to meet and exchange with a large number of newspaper readers, radio listeners and television viewers, connecting the press with local authorities and businesses, creating conditions for people to enjoy the dedicated, creative and attractive press products of the press team over the past year.

This is an annual activity in a series of activities to celebrate the Party and Spring, an opportunity for people to enjoy high-quality press products, as well as economic and cultural products of the people in the province.,This year's Spring Press Fair has 9 booths displaying publications of Nghe An press and booths introducing OCOP products in Nghe An province, with more than 150 newspapers, magazines, newsletters, over 1,000 publications of central newspapers, industry newspapers and provincial newspapers nationwide.

The Chairman of the Nghe An Journalists Association also affirmed that in the turbulent year of 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic had complicated and prolonged developments, deeply affecting all socio-economic activities, including journalism activities. The press in Nghe An as well as the whole country, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, has strived to overcome and adapt to excellently complete its political tasks before the Party and the people.

The press has informed and reflected comprehensively and promptly important political events of the country and the province; informed fully and correctly about complex and sensitive issues occurring in the area; propagated and reflected clearly the economic and social management solutions of the provincial leaders, departments, branches and localities; foreign affairs activities, promoting the image of Nghe An country and people to the whole country and the world.

In particular, the press focuses on propaganda on disease prevention, especially Covid-19 prevention, political security, social order and safety, prevention and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods... The press performs well the role of social supervision and criticism, resolutely fighting against corruption, waste, bureaucracy and negativity; discovering and encouraging new factors, typical advanced models, attracting investment; fighting to protect the sacred sovereignty of the borders and islands of the Fatherland; fighting against "peaceful evolution" and refuting the wrong views and arguments of hostile forces, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party and the government.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Spring Newspaper Festival, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong expressed his joy at attending the festival of journalists in Uncle Ho's homeland, recognizing the dedication, creative working spirit and high responsibility towards the organization, society and people of journalists and reporters in the province in 2021.

There have been many journalists who are not afraid of danger, rushing to the front lines to fight the epidemic, working at "hot spots", working amidst the epidemic to convey the fastest, most accurate and truthful information about all aspects of social life, epidemic prevention work, especially propaganda about Party building work.

Thanks to that, the work of strengthening Party rectification, building and consolidating the political system, implementing Directive 05 on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; the work of fighting corruption, waste, negativity, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction..., has been strongly spread on mass media, contributing to orienting and creating public opinion strength, thereby affirming the Party's leadership role in the fight against the pandemic and socio-economic development.

In 2022, the provincial leaders hope that journalists, reporters, and collaborators will continue to actively penetrate into real life, to constantly explore, create, and produce quality works; at the same time, they request that Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and organizations at all levels continue to closely coordinate, support, and create favorable conditions for press agencies and journalists to work.

At the ceremony, delegates conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Spring Newspaper Festival, officially opened the exhibition booth and read the Spring Newspaper of the Year of the Tiger 2022, with pages written about the prosperity of Nghe An on the eve of the new year; believing in a peaceful and happy new year.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the Spring Newspaper Festival presented gifts to families with difficult circumstances in Vinh city, Hoang Mai town and Anh Son district, and presented 2022 Spring Newspaper publications to fishermen in Hoang Mai town, which are meaningful gifts, adding to the love for the homeland and Vietnamese sea and islands during the days when fishermen go out to sea.
