Information from Dien Bich commune government,Dien Chau districtIt is reported that on January 22, a citizen in the commune fell into the sea while returning from fishing.
Specifically, the victim was Mr. Tran Van Son in Bac Chien Thang hamlet, Dien Bich commune, who went fishing with 3 other fishermen on boat numbered NA 90231TS. On the way back, Mr. Son suddenly fell into the sea and went missing.
After discovering the incident, the remaining 3 crew members immediately returned to search but could not find any trace of Mr. Son. The fishermen immediately called the local authorities to help and support the search.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lien - Vice Chairman of Dien Bich Commune People's Committee said: Upon receiving the news, the locality immediately reported to the leaders of Dien Chau district, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station and provided coordinates for units to deploy boats to support the search. However, by the end of January 22, Mr. Son's whereabouts had not been found. The commune also sent a working group to the victim's house to encourage and support the family.

Despite efforts to search on January 22, there have been no positive signs. In addition, currently, the weather at sea is bad, with big waves while the missing location is very far away (about 30 nautical miles from the mainland), which has significantly affected the rescue work.
