Nghe An: Focusing on controlling outbreaks at 2 factories with more than 2,000 workers

In Nghe An, there have been two relatively complicated Covid-19 outbreaks at two garment factories, including ABC Thanh Tien Garment Company in Thanh Chuong District and Nam Thuan Garment Company in Dien Chau District with nearly 300 F0.

InThanh Chuong districtBy noon on January 24, ABC Thanh Tien Garment Company had recorded more than 200 F0s who were workers of the company. Immediately after the test results were available, the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee of Thanh Chuong district deployed testing for all workers of the company, a total of more than 700 people.

For Covid-19 positive cases, they have been taken to medical facilities for treatment. Currently, local authorities have traced 530 F1s of the patients. For F1s who are workers in Thanh Chuong district, they have been brought to communes and assigned to localities responsible for managing, checking, and reviewing the home quarantine of citizens. For F1s who are children in other districts, they have been brought to that locality for management.

Faced with a large number of F0 and F1 cases, Thanh Chuong district also directed the entire ABC Thanh Tien Company to temporarily suspend production, closely monitor the health of workers, and conduct periodic testing during the temporary break. Only when the epidemic situation is under control will the company be allowed to resume operations.

InDien Chau district,Nam Thuan Garment Company located in Dien My commune has also recorded 63 F0s, of which Dien Chau has 37 F0s, Quynh Luu has 23 F0s, Yen Thanh has 2 F0s and Hoang Mai town has 1 F0.

Currently, Dien Chau district has taken F0s to treatment facilities, and quarantined F1s according to regulations, and assigned localities to monitor the home quarantine of workers. It is known that the district has directed the collection of samples for testing of all workers of the company, a total of over 1,500 people.

With the viewpoint that wherever the epidemic appears, it must be contained, Dien Chau district still allows the company to operate and must ensure epidemic prevention and control requirements. In particular, in departments where F0 has appeared and is at high risk, operations will be temporarily suspended until further notice.

It is known that this afternoon (January 24), the Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control of Dien Chau district will continue to meet with the company and local authorities to strengthen further epidemic prevention measures with the goal of controlling the outbreak as soon as possible, ensuring the lives of workers as Tet is approaching, while not interrupting the factory's production process for too long.
