Through the article "Mother died of drowning,10 year old boy alone in charity house"Posted on Nghe An Electronic Newspaper on January 9, 2022, a kind reader of Nghe An Newspaper authorized a representative of Nghe An Newspaper's Trade Union to give Trinh Khanh Toan a gift including warm clothes, cakes, milk and 5 million VND. The above support source was supported by Phuong Nga Charity Fund (Hanoi) with the wish that the child would have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet holiday.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, Toan's situation is very pitiful, when he was born he did not know his father. The mother and son live alone in a dilapidated house next to his grandparents' house. Taking advantage of her poor family situation, in 2020, the local government and organizations joined hands to build a 2-room house of gratitude for the mother and son.

Ms. Trinh Thi Vy (Toan's mother) has suffered from mental illness and poor health since childhood. Every day, she often herds buffalo for her parents. Toan goes to school far away, and is picked up and dropped off by his grandparents. It was thought that the difficult life of the mother and son would pass peacefully, but on January 6, 2022, Ms. Trinh Thi Vy (born in 1991), Trong's mother, went to herd buffalo early. When she went to the pond to wash her feet, she fell into the pond. Because she did not know how to swim, she drowned. She had an accident and passed away when her son was still young.
