The two friends bought drugs to help them sober up.
(Baonghean.vn) - After a year-end drinking party, Lo Van Duc invited Ven Van Nhan to pool money to buy drugs to use to sober up, and Nhan agreed.
On February 25th, the Investigation Police Department of Ky Son District completed its investigation report and transferred the entire file to the District People's Procuracy to request the prosecution of Lo Van Duc (born in 1994) and Ven Van Nhan (born in 1996), both residing in Khanh Thanh village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, for the crime of ""Illegal possession of narcotics."
According to the investigation documents, at approximately 10 PM on December 27, 2021, Ven Van Nhan held a year-end drinking party at his house and invited Lo Van Duc to join. After the drinking session, Duc suggested that Nhan contribute money to buy drugs to help sober up. Nhan agreed, and then Nhan and Duc each contributed 100,000 VND and went together to the Noong De village area in Nam Can commune to find and buy drugs.

Upon arriving in the Noọng Dẻ village area, Đức and Nhăn met an unfamiliar man of the Thái ethnic group and asked to buy 5 (five) synthetic drug pills from him for 200,000 VND. After purchasing the drugs, Đức gave them to Nhăn to hold, and they walked home together.
At approximately 10:30 PM on the same day, while Duc and Nhan were preparing to use drugs, they were discovered and caught red-handed by a task force from the Nam Can Commune Police, in coordination with the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station and the Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Sub-department, who seized the aforementioned evidence.
According to the forensic examination report from the Criminal Technical Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, the seized evidence from the suspects was methamphetamine weighing 0.5 grams.
