Two friends bought drugs to sober up
(Baonghean.vn) - After the New Year's Eve party, Lo Van Duc invited Ven Van Nhan to pool money to buy drugs to use to sober up, and Nhan agreed.
On February 25, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police completed the investigation conclusion and transferred the entire file to the same level Procuracy to propose prosecution against Lo Van Duc (born 1994) and Ven Van Nhan (born 1996), both residing in Khanh Thanh village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, for the crime of "Illegal possession of drugs”.
According to investigation documents, at around 10:00 p.m. on December 27, 2021, Ven Van Nhan organized a year-end drinking party at his house and invited Lo Van Duc to join. After the drinking party, Duc asked Nhan to contribute money to buy drugs to use to sober up. Nhan agreed. Then Nhan and Duc contributed 100,000 VND each and went down to Noong De village, Nam Can commune to buy drugs.

When arriving at Noong De village, Duc and Nhan met an unfamiliar Thai man and asked him to buy 5 (five) synthetic drug pills for 200,000 VND. After buying the drugs, Duc gave the drugs to Nhan to hold and then walked home together.
At around 10:30 p.m. the same day, when Duc and Nhan were preparing to use drugs, the working group of Nam Can Commune Police in coordination with Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station and Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Branch discovered and seized the above evidence.
According to the forensic conclusion of the Criminal Techniques Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, the amount of evidence seized from the subjects was drugs (Methamphetamine) weighing 0.5 grams.
