(Baonghean.vn) - Through inspection, it was found that the prices of Covid-19 test kits at pharmacies are specifically listed, however, there is still a shortage of goods. For drugs to treat Covid-19, people must have a prescription to buy.
Morning of February 25,Market Management Team No. 3, Nghe An Market Management Department coordinated with the Economic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police to inspect and review the business situation and sale of Covid-19 prevention and control products at pharmacies in Vinh City.
It is known that, in the face of the record high number of Covid-19 infections after the Lunar New Year, the number of F0s being treated at home is large, therefore, the need to buy Covid-19 test kits as well as Covid-19 treatment drugs is of interest to people, they are urgently looking to buy, controlling the business and trade of this item is a top priority.

Through inspection at pharmacies in the areaVinh CityIt shows that there are many types of Covid-19 test kits, originating from Türkiye, the US, South Korea, China... However, pharmacies have listed prices, have Vietnamese sub-labels, and have full invoices and documents for drug purchases according to regulations. However, there is still a shortage of test kits at this time.
Explaining this issue, a pharmacy owner in Vinh City said: Currently, the import price of Covid-19 test kits has increased compared to a week ago. Due to high input costs, some pharmacies have stopped importing test kits at this time, leading to a shortage of kits on the market...
For itemsCovid-19 treatment drugsCurrently, the Drug Administration of Vietnam, Ministry of Health has granted conditional circulation registration for 3 Covid-19 treatment drugs containing the active ingredient Molnupiravir. Some pharmacies in Vinh City have sold this product. After inspection, the pharmacies have committed to fully meeting the needs of the people. However, not all people can buy Covid-19 treatment drugs.

Specifically, cases that are allowed to buy drugs to treat Covid - 19 include a prescription from a doctor or a certificate of being treated for F0 from a local medical facility. At the same time, 100% of prescriptions need to be photographed and updated to the system according to regulations, to avoid buyers buying in large quantities, hoarding goods to sell for profit at high prices.
During the inspection on the morning of February 25, the working group also discovered that Hien Ly Pharmacy owned by Nguyen Anh Tuan, a business owner located in Hong Son Ward, Vinh City, did not list the prices of modern medicines as prescribed by law. The inspection team proceeded to file an administrative penalty for the above violation with a fine of 2 million VND.
Through discussion, the leader of Nghe An Market Management Department said: In the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies, increase forces to inspect and handle the illegal trading of Covid-19 test kits and Covid-19 treatment drugs on the market, especially the widespread sale on social networking sites to ensure the rights of people in disease prevention and control.

Previously,Nghe An Department of Healthhas issued Official Dispatch No. 626/SYT-TTR on requesting to strengthen the management of advertising, buying and selling of test kits and Covid-19 treatment drugs on social networks.
The document clearly stated: In the face of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, with the increasing number of cases, many Facebook pages, Zalo pages, and other social networking sites have appeared advertising, marketing, and selling products such as: Covid-19 treatment drugs, drugs without circulation registration (introduced as hand-carried goods, produced in Russia, the US); Covid-19 test kits that do not comply with regulations, affecting people's health and the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic in Nghe An province.
The Department of Health requested the Market Management Department, the Provincial Police, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Department of Health to strengthen management and strictly handle the advertising, buying and selling of Covid-19 treatment drugs, drugs without circulation registration numbers, and buying and selling Covid-19 test kits in violation of regulations on social networking sites in Nghe An province.
