Enterprises cooperate with vocational schools to discuss and solve labor problems

(Baonghean.vn) - To solve the labor problem after the Lunar New Year holiday, on February 28, the leaders, the Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union and representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs had a working session with Luxshare-ICT Company Limited.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of the Management Board of Dong Nam Economic Zone, representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union, Luxshare-ICT Company Limited, and representatives of leaders of 10 universities, colleges and vocational schools in Nghe An province.

At the meeting, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board played the role of connecting businesses and universities, colleges, and vocational schools in the area to solve labor recruitment needs. Accordingly, the schools will sign treaties and agreements on labor recruitment with businesses.

At the meeting, the leaders of Luxshare-ICT Co., Ltd. expressed their desire to receive long-term cooperation with schools in recruiting technical workers. The company representative also presented policies, regimes, and salaries for employees. In addition, the company will also arrange and support accommodation in the company's dormitory.

In response to the information provided by businesses, school leaders have responded, questioned and made recommendations regarding recruitment requirements, management work, etc. Most schools consider this connection a positive sign in the coordination between the State, schools and businesses. In addition, local connections will help students have more opportunities to work locally, saving on travel costs.

It can be said that this connection is a good sign, opening up many new opportunities in the future. However, for effective and long-term coordination, enterprises and schools need to sit together and clarify issues such as recruitment needs, timing, technology used…”.

Also attending the meeting were representativesSoutheast Economic Zone Unionand the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also made a number of recommendations and proposals for businesses. Accordingly, representatives of these two agencies said that, in addition to doing a good job of preventing and controlling the epidemic so that workers can feel secure going to work, businesses need to consider raising the basic salary for workers to avoid a labor shortage in the future.

After listening to the opinions of delegates and responses from businesses, Mr. Le Tien Tri - Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board directed: In the long term, to harmonize labor supply and demand, every year, businesses need to send recruitment plans to schools and relevant authorities to soon develop training and enrollment programs.

Mr. Le Tien Tri also affirmed that the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone will always support and accompany businesses in recruitment issues. In the coming time, along with the development of businesses, the demand for recruiting technical workers will increase, businesses and schools need to have close coordination in labor training. At the same time, businesses must do a good job of epidemic prevention and have plans to increase income for workers./.
