At the working session, comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper gave a general report to the working delegation on the results of implementing political, ideological and professional tasks of Nghe An Newspaper in recent times.

Accordingly, as the mouthpiece of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, the forum of the people of the province, Nghe An Newspaper always clearly demonstrates the spirit of vanguard on the cultural, ideological, and information and communication fronts. Currently, Nghe An Newspaper has 4 publications: a printed newspaper published 8 issues/week, including 7 daily issues and 1 weekend issue, 1 Mountainous - Ethnic special page; Nghe An electronic newspaper and Nghe An Newspaper YouTube channel. In particular, to meet the trend of integration and development, since 2012, Nghe An Newspaper has built and applied the Convergence Newsroom journalism model. This is one of the earliest models in the local Party newspaper system nationwide. The Convergence Newsroom model not only demonstrates the shortcut and anticipation of the media trend but also realizes the Party and State's guidance on digital media in the trend of integration, responding to the 4.0 technology revolution.

By integrating media environments on digital platforms, Nghe An e-newspaper now has an average of 250,000 visits per day; at peak times, it reaches 1.4 - 1.5 million views per day. With the results achieved, in 2015 Nghe An Newspaper was honored to be awarded the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period by the Party and State.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Editorial Board and staff, reporters and employees of Nghe An Newspaper, Comrade Ngo Duc Kien thanked the Central Propaganda Department for their attention to the Newspaper in the past time. He also hoped to continue to receive close guidance from the Department for press agencies in general, including Nghe An Newspaper; at the same time, there would be specific and timely directions for urgent issues in political and social life that the public is interested in.

As a local Party newspaper, Nghe An Newspaper has shown its pioneering role on the cultural, ideological, and information and communication fronts.

Comrade Tran Thanh Lam affirmed that the development direction and communication model that Nghe An Newspaper is implementing is a step in line with the modern communication trend. In addition, he requested Nghe An Newspaper to continue to promote the tradition of the unit, constantly strive to meet the requirements set by the Party, State and People; always be the leading flag in the fields of culture, ideology, information and communication of the province, worthy of the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period.

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department also acknowledged the opinions of the leaders of Nghe An Newspaper. At the same time, he affirmed that in the coming time, the Central Propaganda Department will soon form a channel of information for leadership, direction and direct guidance for press agencies on urgent issues that require quick and timely communication.
