Nghe An: Coordinated arrest of smuggling case of 1 million liters of gasoline worth nearly 30 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - An especially large case of gasoline smuggling without invoices and documents has just been busted by Nghe An Provincial Police, seizing 1 million liters of gasoline with a total value of nearly 30 billion VND.

Accordingly, under the direction of Major General Pham The Tung, Director of the Provincial Police; Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai, Deputy Director, Head of the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police, on March 23, 2022, the Economic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police conducted a search of the headquarters of Tan Xuan Company Limited, located at Block 2, Nghi Tan Ward, Cua Lo Town, Nghe An for the act of tax evasion in the sale of gasoline.

During the search, the Waterway Division 1, the Traffic Police Department, and the Ministry of Public Security coordinated to inspect and arrest the Xuan Son 05 ship belonging to Xuan Son Company Limited anchored at Cua Lo seaport, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province, for transporting 1 million liters of gasoline.E5 gasoline, worth nearly 30 billion VND.
All of the above gasoline was hidden in the ship's storage. Upon inspection, all of the above gasoline did not have invoices or related documents in accordance with the law.

Initially, the subjects confessed that they took advantage of the darkness to use small boats to go out to sea to buy gasoline from other ships, then transport it to the port to pump it onto the Xuan Son 05 ship and then resell it for profit.
Currently, the police are temporarily detaining the ship and the above amount of gasoline to continue verifying and investigating.
