First Vietnamese-American female singer to win Grammy 2022
At the 64th Grammy Awards ceremony held on the morning of April 4 (Vietnam time), Sangeeta Kaur was named with the award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album. She is the first artist of Vietnamese origin to win in this prestigious category.

Sangeeta Kaur's birth name is Teresa Mai. She was born and raised in a Vietnamese family in the US and currently lives in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles. According toLos Angeles Times, the singer's stage name Sangeeta Kaur was given to her by a yoga master and means "princess of music and harmony." The beautiful singer earned her Bachelor of Music in Opera Performance from California State University's Bob Cole Conservatory of Music and received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
To date, Sangeeta Kaur has released several critically acclaimed albums such as:Niguma, Ascension, Mirrors, Compassion, Illuminance…Sangeeta's works span many genres such as: classical, contemporary, spiritual... She has performed in many places around the world as well as on the Paris By Night stage.
