List of U23 Vietnam to play SEA Games: Coach Park finalizes Hung Dung, Hoang Duc, Tien Linh
Coach Park Hang-seo officially finalized the list of 3 over-age players of U23 Vietnam for the campaign to defend the men's football gold medal at the upcoming 31st SEA Games.
Accordingly, the Korean strategist chose the midfielder duo Do Hung Dung, Nguyen Hoang Duc and striker Nguyen Tien Linh.
Thus, contrary to the previous predictions of experts, Nguyen Quang Hai's name was not included in the list of players preparing for the 31st SEA Games at home next May.
This is also understandable because the midfielder born in 1997 will go abroad after leaving Hanoi FC.

While the SEA Games is not part of the FIFA competition system, the host club will not be responsible for "releasing" the player.
As for the three names chosen by Coach Park, they are all very important and indispensable factors in the Vietnamese team's lineup in recent major tournaments such as the AFF Cup 2018 or the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Asia.
Not only that, these three players have contributed greatly to helping Vietnamese football quench its thirst for gold in men's football when it won the 30th SEA Games in 2019.

At the 31st SEA Games, U23 Vietnam is in Group A with Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines and Timor Leste. Meanwhile, Group B has the participation of Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore and Laos.
