Two workers save drowning boy in irrigation canal
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 12, Mr. Bui Dang Khanh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Van Son commune (Do Luong) confirmed that two construction workers in the commune saved a drowning 4th grade student.
Previously, at noon on April 9, 2022, at around 1:00 p.m., Nguyen Danh Huy Khoi - a 4th grade student at Van Son Primary School (Do Luong) on his way to school dropped his hat into the N1 irrigation canal. Khoi reached out to get his hat on the water surface, unfortunately slipped and fell into the canal. Khoi was floating in the water and called for help.
Hearing the cry for help, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hanh, residing in Yen Dong hamlet, Minh Son commune - Do Luong, who were construction workers on a nearby concrete ditch, jumped into the N1 canal to rescue the child and bring him to shore.

Irrigation canals N1 and N2 in Van Son commune - Do Luong are currently being filled with water to serve production. The canal is nearly 2m deep and the two sides are built at an angle, so it is very dangerous for children if they accidentally fall in.
Van Son Commune delegation also warned that when summer comes, parents need to pay attention to ensure the safety of their children when bathing and swimming in this canal./.
