According to many residents and officials of the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Con Cuong district, there are many types of bamboo shoots that are at risk of being lost because people have previously destroyed them to plant acacia. Through surveys, in the district, there are only a few acres of land left with the special bitter bamboo shoots.
With the support of the Department of Science and Technology, Con Cuong district mobilized 2 households in Mau Duc commune to implement a model of protecting and restoring the special bitter bamboo shoot variety on an area of 2 hectares of hilly land in Khe Lan area (in Mau Duc commune).
