Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a phone call with the Youth Union of 3 provinces of Laos
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 22, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Unions of three Lao provinces: Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, and Bolikhamxay organized an online phone call and agreed to sign a number of key issues in the cooperative relationship.
Attending the program on Nghe An side were representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province; Young Entrepreneurs Association of Nghe An province; Comrade Le Van Luong - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.
On the side of the Youth Union of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, there were comrades: Phet Samon Da Vong Son - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of Xieng Khouang province; Lon Khan Su Ka Vong - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Hua Phan province; Thoong Ma Ni Khot Pan Nha - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of Bolikhamxay province.
With the Standing Committee members, heads and deputy heads of the Youth Unions of Nghe An, Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bolikhamxay, leaders of departments and branches of 3 provinces of Lao PDR, young economic development talents of 4 provinces, and outstanding Lao students studying in Nghe An province.

The program is a practical activity towards the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2022) and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2022). At the same time, it strengthens the special solidarity and friendship between the youth of Vietnam and Laos through the implementation of a coordination program between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province - Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of 3 provinces: Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bolikhamxay (Lao People's Democratic Republic).
At the program, the Youth Union of Nghe An province and the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, and Bolikhamxay informed each other about the results of activities to strengthen cooperation in many fields in the past time. Next, typical economic models of each locality also shared many experiences in the process of overcoming difficulties to build a sustainable economic development direction with high economic value.

Speaking at the program, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Secretary Le Van Luong affirmed that the Vietnam-Laos relationship is one of "great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation".
Promoting the precious sentiments that the two Parties, two States and the two peoples have worked hard to cultivate, in recent years, Nghe An youth have had many very effective coordination activities with the Lao Youth Union, especially the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, and Bolikhamxay.

In recent years, in the face of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the youth of the four provinces have made efforts, together with the Party and State of the two countries, to actively participate in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Typical activities include sharing love and supporting essential necessities for Lao students studying and living in Nghe An province, joining hands with functional forces to fight the pandemic in border areas... This has further contributed to fostering the special solidarity and friendship between the Party, People and youth of Vietnam and Laos.

On this occasion, leaders of the Youth Unions of the four provinces signed a Memorandum of Understanding through a phone call and continued coordination activities in the coming time.

4 important contents in the Minutes of signing of coordination between Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of 3 provinces: Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bolikhamxay:
1. Organize activities to visit and learn from each other about youth solidarity work; be active and proactive in exchanging information and sharing annual experiences on methods of organizing youth action movements; enhance cultural exchanges, organize volunteer activities for the community, and youth tourism.
2. The Youth Unions of the provinces agree to continue to cooperate in promoting the work of propagating and educating the spirit of special international solidarity, love for homeland and country, and strong friendship; educating and fostering revolutionary ideals for the young generation of the provinces in particular and the two countries of Vietnam and Laos in general.
3. The Youth Unions of the provinces pay attention to and create conditions for the Youth Unions that share the border to organize exchange activities, establish twinning relationships, and coordinate work; support the building of youth models for economic development in border areas; actively organize training courses on youth work for key Youth Union officials of the provinces.
4. Each side will create the most favorable conditions for young businesses and youth economic units to cooperate in business activities together.
