Russia successfully tested the world's most powerful missile
Russia has conducted the first successful launch of the RS-28 Sarmat super-heavy intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"Sarmet is the most powerful missile with the largest range in the world. It will significantly increase the combat power of Russia's strategic nuclear forces," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The ministry also said the Sarmat ICBM has been upgraded, increasing the number of warheads it can carry as well as supporting new types of warheads, such as hypersonic glide vehicles.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated the armed forces on the successful launch of the Sarmat missile. He said the new ICBM will ensure Russia's safety and will make those who threaten Russia "think twice".
"This unique weapon will enhance the combat potential of the armed forces and will ensure Russia's ability to counter external threats," President Putin said.
The Russian leader stressed that the missile was built using materials produced in Russia, which will help speed up mass production. The recent test launch was the first in a series of tests. After the tests are completed, the Sarmat will go into production./.
