According to Decision 08/2022/QD-TTg issued on March 28, 2022 by the Prime Minister, employees working in enterprises and employees returning to the labor market are entitled to receiverent assistancefrom 1.5 - 3 million dong
Accordingly, workers are supported if they have a labor relationship (contract of 1 month or more), rent a place to stay, or work in the following areas:
- Industrial parks, export processing zones.
- Economic zone.
- 24 provinces and centrally-run cities in 4 key economic regions.
1. Support employees working in enterprises with a rate of 500,000 VND/person/month (maximum 3 months).
Payment method: Monthly or 2-month, 3-month installments.
Condition:
- Currently renting or staying in a rented house from February 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022.
- Have an indefinite-term labor contract or a fixed-term labor contract of 1 month or more signed and performed before April 1, 2022.

2. Support workers to return to the labor market at the rate of 1,000,000 VND/person/month (maximum 3 months).
Payment method: Monthly
Condition:
- Currently renting or staying in a rented house from April 1 to June 30, 2022.
- Have an indefinite-term labor contract or a fixed-term labor contract of 1 month or more signed and performed between April 1 and June 30, 2022.
Common points of the 2 support packages:
Currently participating in compulsory social insurance. CaseworkerPeople who are not subject to compulsory social insurance must be on the payroll.
Implementation sequence:
1. Employees request housing rental support according to form No. 01 for the enterprise to synthesize.
2. The enterprise compiles a list of employees requesting housing rental support according to form No. 02 and posts it publicly at the workplace (at least 3 working days). If there is a complaint, an additional 2 days of verification will be provided.
3. The enterprise sends a list of employees requesting housing rental support according to form No. 02 to the Social Insurance agency to confirm that the employees are participating in compulsory social insurance. Time limit: 2 working days.
4. Enterprises submit documents as prescribed to the People's Committee of the district where their head office, branch, representative office, production and business location is located. The deadline for receiving documents is August 15, 2022. The time for reviewing documents submitted to the Provincial People's Committee is 2 working days.
6. Within 2 working days from the date of receipt of complete documents, the Provincial People's Committee shall issue a decision approving the list and support funds. In case of disapproval, the Provincial People's Committee shall notify in writing and state the reasons.
7. Within 2 working days from the date of receiving support funds from the Provincial People's Committee, the enterprise shall make payment to the employee.
