Arrested 12 subjects, eliminated many drug dens in Tuong Duong
(Baonghean.vn) - 12 subjects illegally storing and trading drugs were arrested along with a large quantity of evidence including weapons and drugs of various types.
Under the direct direction of the Provincial Police leaders, the Chief of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police and the Tuong Duong District Police (Nghe An) successfully broke up the case, eradicated drug retail points anddrug densin Tuong Duong district.

To successfully crack the case, on April 23, 2022, the Task Force mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers to synchronously deploy fast, strong, and effective professional plans. Thereby, 12 subjects were arrested for the act of illegally storing and trading drugs; many of whom had criminal records related to drugs. The seized exhibits included 08 homemade guns, 610 synthetic drug pills, 200 opium plants, 136.5 grams of heroin, 5.6 grams of opium resin, and many related exhibits.
The successful destruction of the case has eliminated a drug den in Dua village, Luong Minh commune and drug retail points in Tam Thai commune, Tuong Duong district; contributing to stabilizing security and order in the area and has been recognized and highly appreciated by the government and people.

In the coming time, Nghe An Provincial Police will continue to promote the implementation of the task: "Focus on fighting, "reducing and cleaning up" areas with crimes and drug abuse" - one of the three key breakthroughs in the police work in 2022. This is also the goal of the Project to build"Border commune clean of drugs"of Nghe An Provincial Police with the determination to strive to build 27 "Drug-free" border communes in 2022.
