National Assembly deputies meet voters in Vinh city before the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 13, National Assembly deputies of Nghe An province met with voters of wards: Hung Phuc, Le Mao, Hung Binh, Vinh City.

The National Assembly deputies include: Do Van Chien - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Nhat Minh - full-time National Assembly deputy.

Also attending were Mr. Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

MANY RESPONSIBLE, HEARTFELT OPINIONS

At the conference, voters of the three wards expressed many wishes and recommendations to the National Assembly delegates. Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Hung Binh Ward, suggested that the National Assembly and the Government improve the quality of promulgating legal documents. Along with that, along with promulgating the Laws, sub-law documents should be issued soon for early implementation.

Voter Phan Dang Luyen expressed his excitement at the recent results of anti-corruption work, strengthening people's trust and suggested that it is necessary to continue to promote anti-corruption work.

Regarding this issue, voter Nguyen Huu Thanh, Le Mao ward expressed his excitement when the 5th Central Conference, 13th tenure decided to establish a steering committee for preventing and combating corruption and negativity at the provincial level. According to voter Thanh, this steering committee must be headed by the secretaries of provincial and municipal Party Committees to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its operations.

Also at the conference, voter Nguyen Huu Thanh suggested that the National Assembly soon amend the current Land Law to overcome and limit current negative land issues. According to him, in order for the amended Land Law to ensure quality and long-term sustainability, the National Assembly must prepare carefully and consult many opinions during the drafting process.

Voters from 3 wards: Le Mao, Hung Phuc and Hung Binh expressed special concern about whether History should be a compulsory or elective subject. Mr. Tran Cong Binh from Hung Binh Ward expressed that History cannot be an elective subject, but must be a compulsory subject. Many voters also shared this view and suggested that the National Assembly reach a consensus at the upcoming 3rd Session.

Also in the field of Education, many voters believe that innovation in the field of education and training is necessary, however, the textbooks need to be stable and long-term, and textbooks should not be replaced frequently, causing costs for the people. Voters also believe that the current price of textbooks is high and needs to be adjusted to a more reasonable price.

At the conference, many voters also reflected on issues related to the implementation of policies and regimes for people with meritorious services and their relatives; the management of construction, sale and operation, and management of citizens in apartment buildings in the city, causing difficulties for people.

Voters also hope that Nghe An will grasp and effectively exploit Resolution No. 36 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the province to develop quickly and sustainably.

Voters also suggested reviewing the regional minimum wage in Nghe An, accordingly it should be raised to enhance competitiveness in attracting labor; improve the quality of party members; review and remove from the Party retired party members who do not participate in Party activities; conduct supervision to promote projects in Vinh city, and at the same time recover slow-progressing projects; combat land waste; develop the province's tourism industry to its proper size and position;...

Regarding voters' opinions, leaders of some departments and branches such as: Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment; Education and Training responded to clarify the contents under their authority.

PREVENTING CORRUPTION AND NEGATIVITY IN THE LAND SECTOR

At the meeting with voters, based on the voters' feedback, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy assigned Vinh City to carry out 3 contents: that is, to have a solution to resolve the issue related to Bao Son apartment building; at the same time, to investigate and respond fully and frankly to a voter's feedback on the prolonged resolution of records related to the resolution of policies and regimes; along with that, Vinh City coordinated with the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc to review and work with party members who have not participated in party activities after retirement.

On behalf of the National Assembly deputies, Mr. Do Van Chien - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, discussed with voters the five great successes of our country in the recent past: effectively controlling the Covid-19 epidemic; recovering and developing the socio-economy with very good results; preventing and combating corruption and negativity continued to achieve very good results, many major corruption and negativity cases were prosecuted and tried in a spirit of non-stop, without rest, without forbidden areas; ensuring high seriousness and at the same time being very humane; many officials, including high-ranking officials in office and retired officials who violated the law and violated Party discipline were also strictly handled.

Along with that, our country's internal and external affairs have achieved very good results; the people's trust in the leadership role of the Party and State, and in our country's political regime has been constantly consolidated and strengthened.

Party Central Committee Secretary Do Van Chien also discussed the results of the 5th Central Committee Conference, 13th tenure; thereby affirming that many issues of concern to voters have been thoroughly discussed by the Party Central Committee and will be resolved in the coming time.

In particular, the Central Committee has discussed a resolution on land policies and guidelines to replace the Resolution of the 6th Central Committee, Session XI, on continuing to innovate land laws and policies during the period of comprehensively promoting the renovation process. On that basis, the National Assembly, the Government and relevant agencies will amend and supplement the 2013 Land Law with the desired orientation of promoting the good aspects to have resources to build and develop the country; at the same time, overcome the weaknesses and, more importantly, manage more closely to prevent land resources from being lost and prevent and combat corruption and negativity in land.

The National Assembly will promptly and actively amend and supplement the 2013 Land Law, carefully listening to many opinions, especially soliciting public opinions on important contents and soliciting social criticism from the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Central Committee also discussed the development of agriculture, rural areas and farmers, thereby agreeing on the policy of developing in the direction of "ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, civilized farmers"; at the same time, it discussed and agreed on the policy of enhancing collective economic activities, so that the collective economy together with the State economy becomes the foundation of the national economy.

Regarding the content of History subject in high school according to the 2018 General Education Program, Mr. Do Van Chien said: The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will have an official written proposal at the opening session of the 3rd Session of the 15th National Assembly, accordingly, it will request the Ministry of Education and Training to study and evaluate objectively and comprehensively. The viewpoint of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is to make History a compulsory subject, not an elective subject.
