Nghe An: Arresting a group of subjects who caused a series of inter-district motorcycle thefts
(Baonghean.vn) - Since the beginning of December 2021, the three subjects Dao Duy Hung, Le Thai Phi and Nguyen Xuan Hoang have committed 6 motorbike thefts in Nghi Loc district and Vinh city with a total loss of over 200 million VND.
On May 14, Nghi Loc District Police said that the unit had just successfully broken up a case, temporarily detaining 3 subjects to investigate and clarify the act of "Theft of property".
Previously, from the beginning of April 2022 to present, through the work of grasping the situation in Nghi Loc district and neighboring areas, Nghi Loc district police discovered that the subject Dao Duy Hung (born 2004), residing in Nam Thang hamlet, Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district, had many suspicious signs of colluding with subjects inside and outside the area to commit acts of motorbike theft. Hung is a subject with many criminal records for the crime of "Theft of property"should be very cunning and sophisticated when dealing with authorities.

To commit his crime, Hung colluded with Le Thai Phi (born 2002), residing in Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city, and Nguyen Xuan Hoang (born 2004), residing in Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district, to use motorbikes to travel all over the roads in and out of the area. When he discovered that people had left their motorbikes carelessly and were not vigilant, he immediately broke in to break the lock of the motorbikes, stole them, and took them to sell and took the money for personal use.
The criminal acts of the subjects have caused panic, anxiety, and frustration among the masses and officials, causing insecurity and disorder in the area. Faced with that situation, Nghi Loc District Police have established a special project to combat.

After a period of persistently studying the subjects' operating patterns and applying a combination of professional measures, at around 1:00 a.m. on May 13, 2022, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic, and drug crimes, Nghi Loc District Police and Quan Hanh Town Police, Nghi Tien, Nghi Yen, Nghi Xa, and Nghi Thuan Commune Police co-chaired and coordinated with Nghi Dong and Nghi Phuong Communes to successfully crack down on a property theft case. Initially, 3 subjects were arrested: Dao Duy Hung, Le Thai Phi, and Nguyen Xuan Hoang.
Police seized evidence in the case: 2 motorbikes, 3 motorbike lock breaking tools, 6 cell phones, and more than 10 million VND in cash.

During the working process with the police, the subjects initially confessed that from the beginning of December 2021 until now, they have committed more than 6 motorbike thefts in Nghi Loc district and Vinh city with a total loss of over 200 million VND.
Typically, at noon on May 10, 2022, taking advantage of a loophole, the subjects stole a motorbike worth about 15 million VND from Mr. Phan Dinh T., (born in 1995), residing in Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district.
Previously, on the evening of December 24, 2021, taking advantage of people's carelessness during Christmas, the subjects also broke the lock and stole a motorbike worth about 30 million VND from Mr. Tran Van K. (born in 1993), residing in Nghi Thuan commune, Nghi Loc district.
