The 10th grade entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and Vinh University High School for the Gifted is scheduled to be held on the afternoon of June 10 with 11 specialized subjects.
In which, withPhan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted: Candidates will take the exam at two locations: Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted and Huynh Thuc Khang High School. Candidates taking the exam for Vinh University High School for the Gifted will take the exam at Vinh University. Both specialized schools will use the same exam.

Previously, according to the approved plan this year, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted recruited a maximum of 525 students for specialized classes including: Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French. In addition, the school recruited additional specialized English 2 class and specialized Math 2 class with a maximum of 35 candidates/class.
In addition, the school will also recruit 2 English major classes by direct admission of international English certificates. According to the school's summary, this year's exam has 1,500 registration files.
The entrance exam scores for Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted include the scores of non-specialized exams - taking the results of 3 subjects: Math - Literature - English from the 10th grade entrance exam (coefficient 1) and the scores of specialized exams (coefficient 3).
At Vinh University High School for the Gifted, according to the previously announced enrollment plan, this year the school has 350 quotas for 7 specialized programs: Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature and English. Of which, each specialized program has 1 class, while the English specialized program has 3 classes. In addition, the school recruits 4 classes with 120 students in the high-quality program.
At Vinh University High School for the Gifted, through synthesis, the school received registration files of 1,783 candidates for the specialized exam system and 457 candidates for the high-quality exam system.
This is also the first year that Vinh University High School for the Gifted does not directly recruit specialized students, but only gives priority to students with excellent academic achievements and students with IELTS certificates.
Total score for admission to Vinh University High School for the Gifted = (score of specialized subject exam x1.5 + base score) + priority score (if any). In which, the specialized subject exam score is on a 20-point scale and the base score is the total score of 3 subjects Math - Literature - English (on a 10-point scale) of the 10th grade entrance exam.

According to the plan, from tomorrow morning candidates can go to the exam locations to see the exam rooms and locations.
In the afternoon, candidates will start taking the exam at 2:30 p.m. The time for the specialized exams is 150 minutes. Regarding the exam format, the subjects of Math, Literature, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, and Geography will be tested in essay form. The specialized foreign language exam will be tested in both essay and multiple choice and listening comprehension forms. The IT exam will be tested in the form of computer programming.
