Nghe An students won Bronze Medal at International Math Olympiad
(Baonghean.vn) - The student who won the prize is Hoang Tien Nguyen - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
The 63rd International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) was held in person in Oslo, Norway, from July 6-16. Previously, in 2020 and 2021, the Vietnam International Mathematics Olympiad team had to compete online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Participating in this year's competition, the Vietnamese team has 6 members from the University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, Vinh Phuc province, High School for the Gifted, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa province and Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An province.
At the end of the competition, the Vietnamese team won 6 medals with 2 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals (ranked 4th out of 104 participating countries). Student Hoang Tien Nguyen - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted won the Bronze Medal.
Previously, Hoang Tien Nguyen was known as a student who won first prize in the National Excellent Student Competition for two consecutive years (grades 11 and 12).
