Kim Duyen won the 2nd runner-up position at Miss Supranational 2022

The Miss Supranational pageant is one of the six largest and most watched beauty pageants in the world. In 2022, beauty Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen will represent Vietnam in this beauty pageant. Throughout her journey at the pageant, Kim Duyen made a good impression on the audience and the world media.

Before the finals, many beauty sites predicted that she would rank high in this year's competition. She also won the Supra Model Asia sub-award and was in most of the top votes for the sub-awards of the competition.

On the morning of July 16 (Vietnam time), Kim Duyen and 69 other beauties from different countries and territories competed in the final round of Miss Supranational 2022. The contestants performed in evening gowns, swimsuits, and responded to find the best faces. The judges announced the top 24, top 12, and top 5, based on the results of the semi-finals and the performances of the beauties in the final.

In the end, South Africa's representative - Lalela Mswane won the crown of Miss Supranational 2022. The new beauty queen is a familiar face, having won the title of 2nd runner-up at the Miss Universe 2021 contest held in Israel last December. She is also Kim Duyen's old rival at the Miss Universe 2021 contest.

During her participation in Miss Supranational 2022, Lalela has always been highly appreciated by the media and beauty fans. She is always in the top of the strong candidates to compete for the prestigious crown.

Before the final, Lalela Mswane was in the top predictions of beauty sites. The beauty born in 1997 is a Bachelor of Law at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Before making her mark in beauty pageants, she was a professional model. Lalela's experience in stage, catwalk and performance skills has been honed over many years and that is clearly shown in the international beauty pageants she attended.

The first runner-up of the contest belonged to the Thai beauty, Praewwanich Ruangthong, who is also a highly anticipated and highly rated competitor from the Asian region.

The second runner-up award went to Kim Duyen of Vietnam. Kim Duyen’s performance at this year’s contest was highly appreciated by domestic and international audiences.

She confidently appeared in the top 24, top 12, top 5 and finally won the second runner-up position. Kim Duyen's achievement at Miss Supranational 2022 is considered a good achievement of Vietnam's representative at the international beauty arena in recent years.

In the behavioral round, Kim Duyen confidently answered in English. She received a question about the positive and negative aspects of life. The beauty said: "I think everything has two sides, positive and negative, and the same goes for striving for perfection. If you think about everything positively, everything will be positive. Like me, I always try to study and train myself every day to become the best version of myself and that is striving for perfection in a positive way."

Previously, in the presentation of the top 12, Kim Duyen expressed: "If I become the winner tonight, I will not only use my influence domestically but also internationally. I will help Vietnamese children as well as children around the world to pursue their dreams."

A few hours before the final night, the Organizing Committee of Miss Supranational 2022 announced the moment when the contestants performed in their national costumes. In this competition, Kim Duyen wore a 30kg costume called "Hung ca chau ca". The Vietnamese beauty confidently shone on stage in a costume inspired by the story of the ancestors of the Vietnamese people who fought, lived, built and protected the territory of Vietnam.

In addition to the title of 2nd runner-up of the contest, Kim Duyen of Vietnam is also one of two contestants who won the Supra Chat (Miss Eloquence) award at the Miss Supranational 2022 contest.
