Nghe An women spread the meaning from the Workshop 'Inspiring female leaders'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 15, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union organized the Workshop "Inspiring Female Leaders" in 2022.
Attending the workshop were comrades: Nguyen Thi Hoai Linh - Member of the Presidium, Head of the International Committee of the Central Committee of the Union; Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa - President of the Provincial Women's Union and members of the group of female National Assembly Deputies, Provincial People's Council; female leaders and managers of provincial departments, branches, sectors and unions.
Attending the workshop, there were guests: Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang - Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director of the Department of Information and Press, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ms. Vi Thi Tham - Director of Pha Lai Eco-tourism Area (Con Cuong district), Chairwoman of Western Nghe An Tourism Coordination Center Company Limited.

The workshop “Inspiring female leaders” is part of a series of activities organized by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in collaboration with UNDP to support activities to improve leadership, management and international integration capacity for female leaders, managers, elected representatives and specialized union officials at the provincial level.
Speaking at the workshop, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hoai Linh - Member of the Presidium, Head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Association affirmed that international integration and the 4.0 revolution have brought many opportunities to expand information, learn international integration experiences, and communicate openly, but also posed many new requirements for women. Reality requires women to improve their knowledge, skills, professionalism and efficiency at work.

With the aim of inspiring women who are or have the potential to take on leadership positions in their fields of work, the guests shared their success stories in the fields of politics and economics - culture. The guests have gone through the process of striving, training themselves and overcoming many obstacles to achieve their current achievements.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang - Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director of the Department of Information and Press, and also the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared and exchanged her leadership experience during her work to become the 4th female spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2017.

At the workshop, Ms. Vi Thi Tham - Director of Pha Lai Eco-tourism Area (Con Cuong district), Chairwoman of Western Nghe An Tourism Coordination Center Company Limited shared her journey from a Thai ethnic girl with a difficult starting point to winning a full scholarship from the Australian Government for a Master's degree in development at Flinders University.
After graduating, she returned to her hometown and realized her dream, determined to establish the first English Center in the mountainous district of Nghe An. At the same time, she invested in building a community eco-tourism area in Con Cuong district.
"After many years of studying abroad, what worries me when I return home is that the children in my hometown still do not have a place to satisfy their desire to learn English, to broaden their knowledge and to bring their dreams beyond the boundaries of their village. Ethnic minority women in my hometown still suffer from many prejudices. Therefore, I strive not only for my own dreams, but also to change those prejudices."

From their work experience, guests shared how to define personal goals, develop relationships, build a network of connections at work, and enrich social knowledge in the process of achieving set goals.
At the same time, it clearly states the direction for handling specific situations and problems raised by delegates at the workshop so that women can confidently overcome gender barriers, social prejudices and balance between work and personal relationships.

In her concluding remarks at the workshop, Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union affirmed that the workshop had successfully completed its set objectives. Through the workshop, delegates conveyed many meaningful messages to inspire women in the process of affirming their value in work and life in the future.
