“During the 1968 Mau Than Campaign, I was a soldier in K4, Hue City Team, and my unit held out in Hue city for 24 days and nights, destroying many enemy troops marching from Quang Nam and Da Nang to support. After that, I continuously participated in anti-sweep operations and attacked the enemy in the area. In 1972, I was seriously injured and had to be transferred to the rear.”

Keeping in mind Uncle Ho's teaching "Disabled but not useless", Mr. Thin has actively participated in social activities and local movements, serving as Head of the Front Work Committee for 10 consecutive years, and is currently a member of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee. Mr. Thuong said: “From the initial 40 households, up to now, Hai Giang 1 Fish Sauce Processing Village has 8 participating households, supplying the market with about 1 million liters of fish sauce each year, with a total income of about 35 billion VND/year, an average income of 6 million VND/household/month.
Thanks to that, traditional crafts can be preserved and promoted, jobs can be created and incomes increased for coastal people, aiming towards the goal of developing craft village tourism.
