Opening of the 2022 Drinking Water Remembering the Source Men's Volleyball Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) - As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), on the morning of July 22, the People's Committee of Anh Son district organized the opening ceremony of the 2022 Drinking Water Remembering the Source Men's Volleyball Tournament.

There are 22 teams with nearly 300 players from 20 communes, towns and 2 agencies and units in the area participating in the tournament. The tournament is divided into 7 groups competing in a round-robin format, then selecting 8 teams to enter the quarter-finals.

This is a traditional sports activity of Anh Son district held annually during the Drinking Water Remembering Its Source Festival, an occasion to commemorate the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed to protect the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and carry out noble international duties in the neighboring country of Laos, at the same time creating a vibrant atmosphere for the festival, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, exchange, learning of the teams and cheering, encouraging the sports movement, improving health, contributing to building the spiritual and cultural life for the people in Anh Son district.
