For example, the wholesale market (Hom market) in Hop Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district is large-scale, with over 500 traders, supplying goods to many communes in the area such as Phu Thanh, Hong Thanh, Tho Thanh, Nhan Thanh, Hoa Thanh communes and Do Luong and Nghi Loc districts.

Mr. Hoang Trung Du - Head of Hom Market Management Board said: Determining the hot weather, with many potential risks of fire and explosion, the Hom Market Management Board of Hop Thanh commune has focused on fire prevention and fighting, ensuring walkways and escape routes, equipping 32 fire extinguishers, 8 fire hoses throughout the market areas. In particular, proactively providing water sources, such as a water tank of over 300 m3, along with a pump system ready to fight fires, minimizes possible fire and explosion incidents.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thi - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hop Thanh commune said: The commune has directed the Market Management Board to regularly propagate, urge and remind traders to strictly implement regulations onfire protection and prevention. Every week, the Market Management Board and the Police force inspect and maintain fire prevention and fighting equipment and machinery, ensuring they are always ready in case of bad situations. Traders are advised to limit the use of electricity when not necessary, and to arrange goods neatly and not block the aisles.

Right from the beginning of the year, the Management Board also coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police to organize training on fire prevention and fighting skills for small traders, ensuring that each trader can initially handle small fires before the authorities arrive.

At the Yen Thanh Town Trade Center Market, fire prevention and fighting work has always been focused on. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nghia - Head of the Yen Thanh Town Trade Center Market Management Board said: The market has over 250 small traders, serving the entire Yen Thanh Town area and neighboring communes.

At locations around the market, a system of over 30 mini fire extinguishers is installed, there is a water tank system, the market's walkways are arranged to be airy, the kiosks have their own atomic system, and the power is cut off after 12 noon (after the market ends).

To proactively prevent and fight fires and explosions in the market, the district has recently coordinated with relevant sectors to organize training, invest in fire prevention and fighting equipment and regularly operate to ensure readiness and timely response when a fire or explosion occurs. The district has directed communes to coordinate with local police to inspect, propagate, remind, and sign commitments to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety to raise awareness among traders, especially those trading in flammable goods.

In addition, the Yen Thanh District Police force has well implemented regulations on fire prevention and fighting, especially new directives and regulations on fire prevention and fighting; guided agencies, units, communes and wards to equip means. Recently, Yen Thanh district police coordinated with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of the provincial police to promptly extinguish a fire at a kiosk in Yen Thanh town market, Yen Thanh district. Thanks to the timely fire fighting, the fire did not spread to businesses in the market area.

Therefore, Yen Thanh District People's Committee continues to coordinate with related departments, strengthen management, inspection of fire prevention and fighting safety for key facilities and locations such as markets, shopping centers, high-rise buildings, companies, businesses in the area...
