Nghe An receives 70,200 more doses of Covid-19 vaccine

Information from Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control: As of August 8, the whole province had 2,051,275 people aged 18 and over who had received the first dose.VaccineCovid-19 (accounting for 104.6%); 2,039,953 people aged 18 and over have received the second dose (accounting for 104.0%); 1,949,904 people aged 18 and over have received the third dose (accounting for 99.5%); 149,559 people aged 18 and over have received the second dosenose 4(accounting for 26.8% of the total number of subjects 567,942).

For children aged 12-17, the number of children who received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was 285,641 (accounting for 104.1%); 276,151 children who received the second dose (accounting for 100.5%); 74,141 children who received the third dose (accounting for 27.0%)... For children aged 5-11, the number of children who received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was 274,146 (accounting for 59.3%); 138,952 children who received the second dose (accounting for 30.1%).
Regarding the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, there are still many parents who do not agree to let their children aged 5-11 get vaccinated. Some localities are not really close and determined, which affects the campaign to get people vaccinated.
Dr. Chu Trong Trang - Deputy Director in charge of Nghe An Center for Disease Control said: Nghe An is currently the leading locality in the country in terms of the rate of 3rd injection of Covid-19 vaccine. On the evening of August 8, Nghe An continued to receive an additional 70,200 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to vaccinate people aged 12 and over. The province has also proposed that the Ministry of Health continue to provide more than 200,000 doses for vaccination for the subjects.
The provincial Center for Disease Control recommends: Localities need to continue to vigorously implement Covid-19 vaccination, ensure that no subjects needing vaccination are missed, increase the vaccination coverage rate for people; promote communication activities to raise people's awareness and proactively get vaccinated against Covid-19, especially children from 5 to 11 years old to ensure safe conditions for students to go to school in the new school year./.
