A restaurant owner on Highway 48 said: The propaganda contents such as complying with the provisions of the law on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer; mobilizing and reminding customers who have drunk alcohol and beer not to drive and supporting the service of taking customers home... are all very practical. Because ensuring the safety of customers is always the top priority of the restaurant and this is also the condition for the restaurant to develop long-term, so I completely agree and have signed the commitment.

“Letting people who have drunk alcohol or beer drive a vehicle will be a danger to many people. For example, the Audi driver caused an accident that killed 3 people in a family in Bac Giang. Therefore, the commitment clearly states:“Immediately notify the nearest traffic police force to strictly handle any customers who come to eat, drink, or sing karaoke and have consumed beer or alcohol but still deliberately drive to participate in traffic.”"This is something I agree with," said a restaurant owner on Highway 48B.

It is known that the strengthening of propaganda work on legal regulations on prevention and control of harmful effects of alcohol and beer by Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 was carried out on the basis of the direction of the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police, the leaders of the Traffic Police Department on focusing on effectively implementing the peak period of inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and order, including strengthening propaganda work on the implementation of topics in this peak period such as: Handling violations of alcohol concentration, speeding violations, handling of oversized, overloaded vehicles, arbitrarily expanding the sides and trunks of vehicles, etc.

Currently, on National Highway 48 and National Highway 48D, there are 95 restaurants, eateries, cheap drinking places and 6 karaoke bars. Accordingly, from June 20 to now, the Team has sent officers and soldiers to the places to propagate and sign commitments to implement. The goal of the propaganda is to concretize the message "If you drink alcohol - Do not drive" for restaurant, eatery and karaoke bar owners, from which the establishments themselves will propagate and raise awareness of compliance for customers, with the goal of not letting unfortunate traffic accidents due to alcohol happen.

Along with that, regarding the plan for patrolling, controlling and handling violations, on the basis of continuing to strictly control and strictly handle violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents, such as speeding; the situation of goods transport vehicles arbitrarily modifying and carrying overloaded and oversized goods...

Regarding alcohol concentration violations, in addition to propaganda work, in the coming time, the Team will continue to strictly handle them, without exception, focusing on motorcyclists and car drivers, with peak time frames from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 1:00 the next day... For violations by party members, civil servants, public employees, armed forces... a notice will be sent to the management agency for handling measures according to regulations.
