On the morning of August 17, the delegation attending the ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2022), the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2022) held in Nghe An offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Nam Dan, Nghe An.

Attending were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Vietnam Sengphet Hungbunnhuong; comrades of the Party Committee.Members of the Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party: Bounchan Sivongphan - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Xieng Khouang Province; Vanxay Phengsumma - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Huaphan Province; Khamphan Sitthidampha - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Vientiane Province; Vanxay Phongsavan - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Khammouane Province.

Also attending were comrades: Su-van-ni Xay-xa-na, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Region 11, Chairman of the People's Council of Bo Ly Khamxay province; Vong-son In-pan-phim - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Xay Xom Bun; Linh-thoong Seng-ta-van - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Governor of Sa Van Na Khet province.

Ambassador Nguyen Anh Dung - Deputy Head of the National Border Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended. On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of several departments and branches.

In a sacred atmosphere, the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate and express their deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh. He, together with Prince Souphanouvong, President Kaysone Phomvihane and the two countries' revolutionary leaders, built the foundation, painstakingly cultivated it, and was developed by generations of leaders, revolutionary soldiers and people of the two countries into a loyal, pure, special, exemplary and rare relationship, which is a priceless asset of the two countries' people.

President Ho Chi Minh once concluded: “Vietnam and Laos, our two countries, have a love deeper than the Red River and the Mekong River.” President Kaysone Phomvihane affirmed: “Mountains may wear away, rivers may dry up, but the Laos-Vietnam friendship will forever be stronger than mountains and rivers.”

This afternoon, in Vinh City, Nghe An Province solemnly held the Ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty with the participation of representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Vietnam, and 7 provinces of Laos that have traditional relations with the province.

Through the Celebration, it demonstrates the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Nghe An province and the provinces of Lao PDR in particular; at the same time, it creates an important change in the awareness of all levels, sectors and people about the great significance of establishing diplomatic relations and signing the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries.
