In the past school year, despite facing many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Nghe An Education sector has had many creative, flexible and practical solutions to direct schools to diversify teaching methods, ensuring the curriculum and quality of education and achieving many encouraging achievements, contributing positively to the implementation of socio-economic development goals of the province.

In the 2021-2022 school year, Nghe An continues to have many students winning high prizes in international, regional, national competitions and achieving high scores in the High School Graduation Exam. Notable among them are Truong Van Quoc Bao, a student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, who won a Silver Medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics, a Gold Medal at the Asia-Pacific Olympiad in Informatics; Hoang Tien Nguyen, a student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, who won a Bronze Medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad.

In the National Excellent Student Competition, Nghe An province had 97 students winning prizes, ranking 4th nationwide: with 6 First prizes, 20 Second prizes, 40 Third prizes and 31 Encouragement prizes; 2 students won Encouragement prizes in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students; 4 middle school students won Third prizes in the Student and Student Startup Ideas Competition; 1 student won Third prizes in the Road to Olympia Competition 2021; 1 student won First prizes in the Youth Competition studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Among the province's excellent students, there are many students who are children of ethnic minorities, remote areas, and areas with special socio-economic difficulties, but with a spirit of studiousness, will, determination and high determination, they have overcome their circumstances, achieved excellent results, and become shining examples in their studies.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the results of the High School Graduation Exam of Nghe An province ranked 20th nationwide, 14 places higher than the previous school year; 51 students achieved excellent scores in the subject groups out of a total of nearly 37,000 students in the province participating in the exam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized: The achievements of the students are the pride of many families, clans, schools and the whole society; at the same time, they have made important contributions to the overall achievements of the education sector in particular and the socio-economic development achievements of the province in general.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged, commended and warmly congratulated the outstanding achievements that students, teachers, educational managers and schools have achieved in the past school year.

Through the 12th year of organization, the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that the Commendation and Award Ceremony will continue to inspire the spirit of studiousness, encourage the emulation movement of studying and training; and add motivation for generations of Nghe An students to strive to rise up, continuing the arduous and glorious path of knowledge ahead.

Reminding the students that their achievements today are the premise for longer steps on the journey ahead, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that they will not be satisfied with the results they have achieved, continue to make every effort to realize their big dreams, live with noble and humane ideals, and become exemplary citizens in the development of their homeland, country and international integration.

The head of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee also hopes that each teacher, in addition to having advanced, exemplary and creative teaching methods, needs to have a heart that is broad enough to be tolerant; delicate enough, sensitive enough to share; skillful enough to lead; and loving enough to support their beloved students.

On the occasion of preparing to enter the new school year 2022 - 2023, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished the provincial Education sector to continue to innovate and achieve many outstanding achievements, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, bringing Nghe An to develop quickly and sustainably.

At the Commendation Ceremony, the provincial leaders directly awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and prizes to 2 students who won international and regional prizes; 1 student who won Third Prize in the 21st Road to Olympia Contest; 54 students who won First, Second and Third Prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition; 4 students who won Third Prize in the 2021 Student Startup Ideas Contest; 1 student who won First Prize in the 2021 "Youth Study and Follow Ho Chi Minh's Thought, Morality and Style" Contest; 51 students who achieved high scores in the 2022 High School Graduation Exam, including 20 students with the highest scores in the natural science subject group, 21 students with the highest scores in the social science subject group; Five ethnic minority students achieved the next highest scores in the natural science subject group, and five ethnic minority students achieved the next highest scores in the social science subject group.

The outstanding students honored today represent more than 800,000 students in the province. The medals and achievements they have gained in a particularly difficult and challenging school year will certainly be a solid foundation, a new beginning for the journey to conquer new heights of knowledge ahead.

It is known that the total amount of money allocated by the People's Committee of Nghe An province to reward 140 excellent international, regional and national students and students with high scores in the 2022 High School Graduation Exam and teachers with achievements in training excellent students in the 2021-2022 school year is nearly 3 billion VND.

In order to encourage and motivate students to overcome difficulties, study well, compete and accompany the provincial education sector, at this year's Commendation Ceremony, 6 businesses sponsored a total amount of 420 million VND./.
