(Baonghean.vn) - Dien Chau District Police (Nghe An) have just successfully cracked down on a gambling case involving lottery numbers worth up to half a billion VND, arresting the group of suspects and many related exhibits.

Through the work of grasping the situation and managing the area, Dien Chau District Police discovered that in Dien Lam Commune, a gambling ring had emerged in the form of recording lottery numbers with many participants and using many sophisticated tricks. A special project was established to combat it.

After a period of investigation, on August 16, the Special Task Force arrested 8 subjects, of which the leader was Ta Van Hung (born in 1996), residing in Dien Lam commune (Dien Chau). The evidence seized by the authorities was 1 book recording lottery numbers, 12 cables recording lottery numbers and 11 mobile phones.

According to police documents, Ta Quang Hung organized a network for gamblers to participate in gambling in the form of recording lottery numbers, an organized activity. To avoid the authorities, the subjects communicated via social networking applications. Initially, the investigation agency proved that the amount of money the subjects used for gambling was 500 million VND.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Dien Chau District Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Ta Van Hung for the crime of "Organizing gambling by recording lottery numbers", and the remaining 7 subjects for the crime of "Gambling".
