Press release of the 19th session of the Central Inspection Commission

From September 6 to 8, 2022, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 19th meeting. Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission chaired the meeting.

The 19th session of the Central Inspection Commission.

At this Session, the Central Inspection Commission (CICC) reviewed and concluded the following contents:

I-Reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations against the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2016 - 2021 term, the Central Inspection Commission found:

The Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training was irresponsible and lax in leadership and direction, allowing the Ministry of Education and Training and a number of collectives and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in personnel work; building and promulgating institutions and policies; implementing a number of public investment projects; compiling, appraising, publishing and distributing textbooks; organizing the National High School Graduation Exams in 2018 and 2021; a number of cadres and Party members in the sector were disciplined and criminally prosecuted.

Responsibility for the above violations and shortcomings belongs to the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training and comrades: Phung Xuan Nha - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Minister; Nguyen Huu Do - Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister and a number of leaders and former leaders of the Ministry; leaders and former leaders of departments and offices under the Ministry of Education and Training.

The above violations and shortcomings have affected the implementation results of the Resolution of the Central Executive Committee on education and training; risked causing great loss and waste of State money, assets, and social resources; caused resentment among the people; negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization and the education sector, to the point of requiring consideration and disciplinary action.

II-Implementing the conclusions of the Central Inspection Commission at the 18th Session; based on the Party's regulations, the Central Inspection Commission proposed that competent authorities consider and discipline the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term; the Party Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for the 2016 - 2021, 2021 - 2026 terms and comrades: Pham Xuan Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Trieu The Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Duong Thai - former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, former Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for epidemic prevention and control; Luong Van Cau - former member of the Provincial Party Committee, former member of the Party Committee, former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, former Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for epidemic prevention and control; Pham Manh Cuong - Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Department of Health; Nguyen Trong Hung - former Provincial Party Committee member, former Party Committee Secretary, former Director of the Department of Finance of Hai Duong province.

III-Considering the results of the inspection of Party discipline enforcement, the Central Inspection Commission requested the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee to strictly discipline collectives and individuals with violations in the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee.

IV-Considering the review results of the Ministry of Home Affairs on the proposal to reward collectives and individuals involved in implementing the National Science and Technology Project "Research and manufacture of a biological kit to detect the new strain of Corona virus 2019", the Central Inspection Committee requested the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs to promptly direct the correction of violations and shortcomings; and draw experience in leadership and direction of task implementation.

V-Also at this session, the Central Inspection Committee reviewed and decided on a number of other important contents.
