Posthumously awarded the State honorary title 'Heroic Vietnamese Mother'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 13, the People's Committee of Hoang Mai town held a ceremony to posthumously award the honorary title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to mother Tran Thi Nu in Dong Trieu block, Quynh Di ward. She had two children who were martyrs and died in the resistance war against America.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Le Truong Giang - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Hoang Mai Town Party Committee; Nguyen Huu An - Chairman of the Town People's Committee; representatives of the Military Command.town, relevant sectors, local leaders and relatives of mother Tran Thi Nu.

Mother Tran Thi Nu had two sons: martyr Nguyen Van Uoi who died on June 26, 1968 and martyr Nguyen Van Tung who died on February 10, 1978.
The awarding of the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" is the recognition of the Party, State and people for the great contributions and sacrifices of Vietnamese mothers in the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and national construction and defense.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Huu An - Chairman of Hoang Mai Town People's Committee expressed his deep gratitude to the mother and relatives of Mother Tran Thu Nu. At the same time, he requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations, and families to promote the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" to better care for the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions. To date, Hoang Mai Town is honored to have 61 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
Over the years, Hoang Mai town has always actively cared for and supported Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. Along with the good implementation of the policies of the Party and the State, agencies, units, socio-political organizations and people in the area have also carried out support with many rich contents and forms; the movement "Repaying gratitude" has been widely deployed, attracting the participation of the entire town. The living mothers have been supported and cared for for life by organizations, businesses and people of all walks of life./.
