The exhibition takes place from September 6 to September 16 at Purple Blue Bar, 35 Dao Duy Tu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. The public can enjoy colorful paintings on old newspapers by Nguyen Quoc Thang depicting bustling lantern processions, colorful flower vases on oil paintings by Hong Phuong, nude paintings by Phuong Binh, papier-mâché masks by Hoang Phuong Lien; while artist Le Thiet Cuong brings to the exhibition a painting with a typical minimalist style, recreating a lantern procession on a moonlit night...
The exhibition is impressive with the lively and beautiful arrangement of works with many different styles. "Thu 6.0" is not only an exhibition but also a dialogue between painting and music. In the evening, art lovers can also enjoy musical works in the genres of classic rock, rock ballad and jazz with the participation of bands familiar to the public such as Wild Horse, White Eagle, Free Birds... In addition, the attractive and interesting thing is the presence of rockers Hieu Tran, Dao Kien, Nam Xu, Hiep Lo, singer Giang Trang...
Sharing with reporters, artist Phuong Binh - a female artist from Nghe An happily said: “Music and painting are always connected, enhancing each other, sublimating emotions together. When painting and music blend together in a space like this, we feel the spirit of the work more clearly. My friends and I are very happy to open a party filled with the colors of autumn, very Hanoi. The works bring viewers the feeling of returning to their childhood. The masks next to the paintings are a lively and interesting highlight.”
G39 is a group of artists founded by artist Le Thiet Cuong. Explaining the meaning of the exhibition name, artist Le Thiet Cuong said that 6.0 symbolizes the number of participating artists, and also marks his 60th birthday. Artist Le Thiet Cuong shared: "Autumn, with the highlight being the Mid-Autumn Festival, is not only for children, but for adults, Mid-Autumn is also a festival of reunion and family reunion."
Also at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the participating artists expressed their feelings, such as artist Pham Tran Quan who brought 3 impressive paintings. All of them were reminiscent of Autumn and the space of Hanoi streets - two topics that the artist was most inspired by. "The exhibition is an annual activity of the G39 group. This year is the same, the only difference is that we organized it at a club in the Old Quarter and combined it with music. When choosing this location, we determined to bring paintings closer to the public, creating a new experience compared to displaying them at museums or galleries" - artist Pham Tran Quan said.

Another interesting thing that the exhibition “Autumn 6.0” brings to the audience is traditional products such as moon cakes, green rice cakes, and spring rolls… made by the mother of artist Le Thiet Cuong. She is a woman from Hanoi, over 80 years old this year, but her passion for traditional dishes of old Hanoi is still preserved and passed on to her children and grandchildren. Viewers can enjoy delicious and beautiful cakes in the romantic autumn of Hanoi and in the colorful exhibition space. The audience enjoys admiring the paintings, the vivid and beautiful masks and the lovely gifts, all immersed in the vibrant and jubilant music of the band. All bring a feeling of excitement, joy, and satisfaction.
Painter Phuong Binh shared: “Even if you are not born in Hanoi, when you come to Hanoi and are attached to Hanoi, you will feel the elegant and graceful beauty of Hanoi in Autumn. I always feel nostalgic and moved when Autumn comes. It awakens emotions to paint, to sublimate. And you will feel the same as us when you come to see the paintings in this exhibition.”./.
