Miss Mai Phuong explains why she sold her crown right after being crowned?
Miss World Vietnam 2022 Mai Phuong's decision to auction the crown studded with more than 4,000 gemstones surprised many people.
The Miss World Vietnam Organizing Committee has just announced the list of items in the charity auction taking place on September 16, to donate to the international charity fund Beauty with Purpose of the Miss World organization and Miss Mai Phuong's charity project in Vietnam.
The auction items were contributed by beauties, designers... Notably, the crown that Miss World Vietnam 2022 Mai Phuong just owned a month ago is featured.
The beauty said she decided to donate the original crown, instead of the replica crown (which has a lower value).

According to information from the Miss World Vietnam 2022 Organizing Committee, Miss Mai Phuong's crown is crafted from thousands of gemstones of different sizes and shapes.
Mai Phuong's decision surprised fans, because it is rare for a reigning beauty queen to be willing to auction her crown for charity.
Some viewers praised her and said that this was a meaningful and practical action. In addition, many people said that Mai Phuong should be allowed to complete her term as Miss and then auction the crown so that she can have a complete journey.
Talking about this bold decision, Miss Mai Phuong shared: "Mai Phuong also has thoughts and is a bit sad, but Mai Phuong believes that this is the right decision and the crown will bring more practical values to the community instead of just keeping it for herself. Hopefully, philanthropists will support this auction to join Mai Phuong in carrying out many projects, spreading kindness everywhere."

According to the Miss World Vietnam 2022 Organizing Committee, the charity auction was also attended by reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska and many Vietnamese beauties.
In addition to Mai Phuong's crown, the Organizing Committee also auctioned many valuable items such as: 5 coronation chairs of 5 beauty queens, evening gowns from designers Le Thanh Hoa, Do Long, Pham Dang Anh Thu, Le Long Dung, Nguyen Minh Tuan... and many valuable jewelry.
After the auction night, Miss Mai Phuong will have a charity trip with Miss Karolina Bielawska on the morning of September 17.
Previously, beauty Nam Em also announced that she would auction the crown of Miss Mekong Delta 2015 at a charity program to support people in difficult circumstances.
She wrote on her personal Facebook on August 31: "Today, Saigon welcomes light showers. Maybe for us, rain is a medicine to soothe the soul, heal wounds. But for those who are still struggling out there, it is a time of misery, difficulty, and extreme hardship. Therefore, I would like to share a little personal contribution by auctioning the crown of Miss Mekong Delta 2015 in a very meaningful upcoming program."
