The Prime Minister dismissed the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and disciplined 4 leaders of Gia Lai province with a warning.
The Prime Minister disciplined and dismissed Gia Lai Province Chairman Vo Ngoc Thanh and issued warnings to Vice Chairmen of the province: Do Tien Dong, Ho Phuoc Thanh, KPa Thuyen and former Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hoang.
On September 15, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh signed on behalf of the Prime Minister a decision on disciplinary action against Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister disciplined Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh by removing him from the position of Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term and removing him from the position of Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term. The reason was that Mr. Thanh had committed violations and shortcomings in his work and the Secretariat had disciplined him with the Party.

Previously, on August 16, the Secretariat issued a disciplinary decision to remove Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh from the positions of Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the terms 2015 - 2020, 2020 - 2025 and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the terms 2016 - 2021, 2021 - 2026.
The Secretariat disciplined the Party Committee of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term with a warning; and reprimanded the Party Committee of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
The Secretariat determined that Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh, in his position as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, must bear primary responsibility, responsibility as the head for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Committee for the terms 2016-2021, 2021-2026.
Mr. Thanh also violated the principle of democratic centralism, working regulations and regulations of the Party, and laws of the State when he concluded and signed a number of documents that violated legal regulations on investment, bidding, land, housing, forestry, construction, and planning.
The violations and shortcomings of the Party Executive Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 and 2021-2026 terms and Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh have caused serious consequences, negative public opinion in society, and reduced the prestige of the local Party Committee, government and Mr. Thanh personally.
On the same day, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, on behalf of the Prime Minister, signed four decisions to discipline four leaders and former leaders of Gia Lai province.
Specifically, the Prime Minister decided to issue disciplinary warnings to the Vice Chairmen of Gia Lai province: Do Tien Dong (Permanent Vice Chairman), Ho Phuoc Thanh, KPa Thuyen and former Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hoang for similar reasons.
Previously, at the 18th session held on August 10 and 11, the Central Inspection Committee decided on disciplinary measures against individuals involved in the Dak Doa golf course project in Gia Lai province.
Accordingly, the Central Inspection Committee decided to issue a disciplinary warning to three Vice Chairmen of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, including Mr. Do Tien Dong (Standing Vice Chairman), Kpa Thuyen and Ho Phuoc Thanh. Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoang, former Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, also received a disciplinary warning.
