Opening of Long An Province Culture - Tourism Week 2022
The event takes place over 5 days, from September 17, 2022 to September 21, 2022, with a series of 13 diverse and rich activities.
On the evening of September 17, the opening program of the Long An Province Culture - Tourism Week 2022 with the theme "Long An - Aspiration of the Vam River" solemnly took place at Tan An City Park, Long An Province and was broadcast live on Vietnam Digital Television - VTC1 and on Long An Radio and Television Station.

Attending the opening ceremony were former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh; Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Mai Van Chinh; representatives of a number of ministries, departments, branches, and leaders of a number of provinces and cities.
On the Long An province side, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An province - Nguyen Thanh Hai; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut and former leaders of the province through the periods.
The art program on the opening night includes 2 chapters "Long An - Colorful Delta" and "Aspiration of Vam River" with many special performances taking place in 60 minutes.
As the gateway to the Mekong Delta, with a strategic position in terms of economy, culture, society, etc. of the region, Long An is known to people across the country with the Vam Co River that has entered poetry and music; it is also a land rich in historical and cultural traditions, where many resounding victories are recorded.
During the process of formation and development, generations of residents here have left behind valuable tangible and intangible cultural heritage values, with 123 historical and cultural relics, including 21 national relics, 102 provincial relics, 5 national intangible cultural heritages, many festivals and traditional craft villages along with other intangible cultural heritages.
In addition, Long An has a typical wetland ecosystem, featuring landscape values such as melaleuca forests, reeds, lotus ponds, water lilies, rivers, orchards, rice fields, vegetables and many kinds of animals.

Long An Province Culture - Tourism Week 2022 is a large-scale event, organized for the first time by Long An, associated with the 55th anniversary of Long An province being awarded the title "Loyal and resilient, the whole people fight the enemy" (September 17, 1967 - September 17, 2022).
The event takes place over 5 days, from September 17, 2022 to September 21, 2022, with a series of 13 diverse and rich activities including Street Food Festival, Amateur Music Exchange, Exchange of Traditional Art Forms, Miss Song Vam Contest, Famtrip, ... and some sports activities: Marathon, Volleyball Exchange.
